Genuine care and attention No fuss Great sea view Fast WiFi
good for transport connections
Good buffet breakfast. Fire escape nearby. Quiet nicely decorated.
Lift very small.
Very considerate of guests needs. Had bicycle storage available, packed (large) to-go, continental breakfasts for early departures. Nice lounge area with DVD and board game selection. Great cooked breakfast.
The room clean and mattress was soft.
The washbasin in the bathroom was really small. Even though we had booked 2 months before the room provided did not have a view of the beach/promenade.
Excellent hotel, good value for money. Owners very keen to make your stay comfortable. Lovely buffet breakfast. Picnic provided on last morning as were on early ferry and would miss breakfast. They went the extra mile, we highly recommend and will be returning - thank you
Breakfast was very good. Staff (owner/manager?) was very helpful.
Toilet, barely adequate. I have never seen a sink that small. Not enough space to put toiletries for two. Would only recommend with some caveats.
Clean, comfortable, quiet.
Cramped and long walk to restaurants
One of the ladies was very helpful re info re TT. Location.
The carpet needed a good clean. Being on 4th floor.
Very helpful night staff.
No telephones in the room. Elevator locked before 7 AM. Same prices as a full service hotel.
Had a great short break with 2 of my grandchildren . Good location for the electric railway.Good cooked breakfast as much as you can eat and well cooked.Definatly go back there
The location, for us, was good but people with mobility problems should be told about the steep climb up from the promenade. The rooms were spotless and comfortable with small but well thought out bathrooms. The hotel was well supplied with tourist literature and staff knowledgeable about local attractions.
The host was courteous and efficient but a little remote. Parking was difficult and maybe an arrangement could be made with the little chapel at the top of the hill which had an empty car park.
Breakfast was done very well. Lovely welcome and lovely staff. Room was very comfortable. Hotel was clean and well presented.
Room I was in there was no wifi signal.
Food, staff, sea view, lounge, los of information available.
Rather over=filled tables at breakfast, but staff were quick to remove used crockery to make room. Coffee not always hot enough
The position of the hotel
Our room good have done with a makeover as the wallpaper was coming off the wall and the paper on the ceiling was different on either side of the room. The bathroom door did not slide very easy and the bolt did not reach the hole it was supposed to go in,it was also dirty all round the handle area where people had not used the handle
Quiet hotel ideally situated just off Promenade towards Onchan end. Convenient for Manx Electric Railway and Horse Tram. Airport bus stops just around the corner. Nice mix of clientele including visitors from Europe and United States. Help yourself buffet breakfast. Friendly staff. I will certainly be using the hotel in future.
Likes the breakfast and the staff
Leaving my key on a hook in an open area.
Location and ease of parking , nice lounge with big TV
Poor breakfast , not fresh cooked but buffet style . room rather small [4thfloor] and too hot . poor bathroom finishing [floor tiles, sharp edges etc] small shower
Sea view and access to promenade Convenient for public transport
Cramped - small rooms Long walk into town centre
Comfortable and quiet room, good breakfast, fantastic sea view, excellent value
Comfort, close to bus stop, cleanliness, helpful staff, tasty food,Good value. Well done !
Elevator a bit claustrophobic
A very good hotel situated close to the electric tram station which meant no problem with parking. A lovely room with a sea view, staff very helpful and available at all times, and an excellent breakfast. It is a treat for a hot buffet breakfast actually to be hot and not lukewarm as many are.
This was my 4th stay at the Edelweiss and it never disappoints me. So welcoming and such a relaxing place.Everything was just perfect for me. Highly recommend .
I could hear the ocean in the morning! And the foghorn the next day. Food wasn't bad either.
Parking but not their fault
Beds were comfortable. I could hear the ocean when staying on that side. The room cooled down quite quickly when the window was open. Nice lounge. Great location.
The shower was clogged. So I was standing in water. The elevator was dangerous as the door was hard to keep open and manoeuvre luggage. It was also very small. I was also not comfortable with leaving my key where others could have access to it.
