Fantastic Views Friendly and helpful staff Lovely food Clean
shower a little small Mattress ( but only because I have a memory foam at home)
Lovely and quiet Very welcoming Lovely outside space around it We needed early breakfast and they looked after us very well
Nothing to dislike when we went but we went out of season - can imagine during summer months this pub would be extremely busy
The room was very nice
Dinner was expensive ..and not good .breakfast poor.... no staff ....only lady cleaner...cancelled for next year.
Fabulous, cosy pub. Christmas decorations were up, mulled cider available, excellent breakfast and both nights evening meals. Very high standard of bedrooms, very clean, wanted for nothing and the view was superb.
The ambience and location
Not obvious when you arrive where you should check in. Turns out it is at the bar.
Excellent position with an ever changing outlook and the Mount Edgecombe Estate on the immediate doorstep .
A long detour but well worth it.
Comfortable and spacious room very quiet in evening as only one other person staying on first night and then just us for second night lack of atmosphere. Must mention Destiny who was very cheerful and helpful both days.
Thought I was booking hotel in Plymouth, it is located in other side of river estuary, so you have to go 10 miles for Torpoint car ferry or further to cross on Tamar Bridge. Passenger only ferry just outside pub subject to weather.
Would be lovely in the summer months without a doubt.
Staff was willing to serve us breakfast extra early. Food in the pub was great. Room was large.
Not much nearby. Spiders in the rooms. Small shower. Although they advertised free wi-fi, there was no info on how to get it. There was no front desk. Had to go to the bar in the pub to check-in and out.
Friendly and efficient staff; excellent location and surrounding coastline and countryside; very good food at breakfast and dinner.
Lovely location, and friendly staff Food is excellent
creaky bed - could do with a new matress
the location, the atmosphere, the staff and an excellent breakfast
Location by the river is excellent, staff and service second to none. Room and facilities were also very good. Will visit again next year.
Nothing to criticise at all.
Peaceful and beautiful location. Ideal for a restful break.
Set on the Rame Peninsula - great location, very quiet and if we'd be staying for a couple of days would have used the foot passenger ferry to nip across to Plymouth, rather than driving around to Torpoint. Nice larger airy rooms.
We didn't get the opportunity to use the restaurant facilities which was a shame as the menu looked lovely!
Close to Torpoint location excellent. Food excellent. Very friendly staff.
The price we thought it was a little bit too much
location room breakfast staff
noisy campers over the road
The location is quiet, slightly remote, very scenic, and we thought excellent on the shoreline with a regular ferry across the Tamar into Plymouth. The food was exceptional, the staff friendly and the rooms clean. Sat outside in the evening under the stars with a drink listening to the waves, watching the odd boat pass...perfect.
The TV in the room was small and old with a separate Freeview box, the WiFi was poor but that would not put me off returning.
Comfortable clean rooms, great comfort food, friendly staff
We liked everything about the place
The food and especially the daily carvery. Lots of good trips to make on the ferry etc. The Royal William Yard and the Barbican easily accessed by ferry. Edgcume house & grounds well worth a visit. A very relaxing break.
Nothing really to dislike. A lot of stairs to the rooms could be a problem for some people.
we loved the room as it was so co mfthereortable . it was lovely to fall asleep to the sound of the water lapping. we can not comment on dining other than breakfast as we did not eat at night We certainly would love to return
maybe the bar closing early i did hear a few grumbles about it
everything. it was lovely to fall asleep to the sound of lapping water. then wake to the peace and quite only the odd boat going by.
What a delightful location & accommodation.Had to travel from Surrey to Plymouth for a funeral.it happened to be our wedding anniversary & we couldn't think of a better place to stay.Food great, room 2 great & such a treat to find it so very clean.Had been to a hotel in Wales the week before which was a dump so we needed some cossetting. Will be back again very soon with some friends.Congratulaions to everyone.
Quiet at night. Food, choice & taste very good. Double aspect room.
Excellent location and stunning outlook. The food was very good and room spacious comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful and polite. We both loved it and will come again. Thank you
