Warm and pleasant stay. Great breakfast, lovely staff and beautiful suite.
Comfy bed, large bathroom, great location, staff extremely helpful and welcoming
Fabulous breakfast, quiet room, comfortable bed, large and spacious bathroom. Need I say more?
Everything about the hotel
It is a little bit a walk from downtown
As soon as you arrive you feel very special in this unique guest facility. The staff can not do enough for you, very smart and professional not only with you as a guest but with each other. Staying at the Edinburgh residence is an experience in it self and if you have not stayed, you've missed out. The room and breakfast was outstanding
nothing. everything was prefect
Excellent staff. Lovely, spacious suite, great views. In a nice part of town with a good location
The only thing to pick on would be a soft, fairly uncomfortable bed
We booked a suite for my wife's birthday. The whole experience was wonderful, from reception to check out. In particular being able to take breakfast and dine in a spacious private suite was sheer luxury. All requests were quickly and properly dealt with. We will definitely return in the future.
Not being able to open the bedroom windows!
The room was huge, the bed was comfortable, the view was amazing.
It was a bit dated
This is a gorgeous 5* hotel, right in the middle of Edinburgh. The rooms are large and well equipped. The staff were courteous and knowledgeable about the building and city. I called only a few days before the weekend looking for a recommendation for a restaurant. They recommended Tigerlilly, which is part of the hotels group. Great restaurant, fabulous food, even better cocktails. Well done to all the staff at both locations for a great stay.
Excellent location within easy walking distance of the city centre. Facilities first class including trouble free on-site parking. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast (continental or cooked) was all that was required and was delivered to the room at the time requested. Overall - a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Fantastic breakfast service where the food was sent to your room on a time that you decided. May only be a benefit the most expensive rooms have though. Wonderfully comfy beds! Very quiet area. No disturbing sounds at all. Very professional staff!
A wee walking distance from city centre, but not so far that it matters. The Dean Village area is absolutely worth it.
The amazing suite with its beautiful proportions Great location on a quiet street, (for those who are mobile and didn't mind the 20min stroll ) The high quality and varied breakfast delivered to our room, Loved being allowed to check in early since the room was available The facilities within the room, including jacuzzi bath and all manner of ktichen utensils
Room in the basement received very little light and meant we were overlooked in the bathroom. Wished we had a view but cannot complain since we received a free upgrade to a suite.
The elegance of the building and the very central but peaceful location.
The breakfast was disappointing and not what we expected, given the luxurious nature of the hotel.
Wonderful stay in a luxurious suite with friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast was delicious and served in our room which was very welcome. Would highly recommend staying there and hope to return again ourselves.
Pillows a little too soft. Cleaner doing room next to ours in the morning had a very loud walkie talkie that was the only thing which spoiled the ambience of the stay.
