My sister & I were in for my father's funeral. Val & her staff took excellent care of us, treating us with genuine kindness. Nothing was too much for them & we felt instantly comfortable & at home.
Stayed here for one night on trip from Scotland to Kent. Quiet village just off the A1(M). Perfect for overnight stop. Arrived about 9pm and picked keys up from friendly landlady in pub. The rooms are in a seperate block behind the pub and we had a twin room which was clean comfortable and very quiet.
The in house Chinese restaurant was closed this week so had to travel a few miles to outskirts of Huntingdon where there was a selection of restaurant and fast food outlets. Also, it was a Monday night and the pub was quiet so closed early.
Location is nice as is the pub
The price is way too expensive. Room is out dated and scruffy. The place was not clean. Facilities are lacking. Says wifi there is not. If I was paying £25 a night it would still be too much.
The location is great and very easy to find. The welcome is warm and friendly. The room had all we needed plus and was very clean and comfortable.
Nice and helpful staff. Lack of city noise and good Chinese food.
Not convenient connection to this place, so you need the car to reach the place form airport.
The location was Ideal for us as we were passing thro all staff very friendly and helpful we would use them again
Welcome was lovely- made to feel at home. Food is superb and really good value.
Only a Chinese restaurant which many people, including me, do not like, and poorly cooked anyway - but no alternative anywhere in the village, therefore no choice. Poor bathroom facilities. But most important, the lighting in the room was impossible to do any work by - much too dark which was a severe handicap to me since I had a great deal of work that I should have done the evening I stayed. But was not able to complete once it became dark. Breakfast was very poor with no fresh fruit and no mushrooms or tomatoes as part of a 'Cooked' breakfast.
Restaurant closed & was supplied with local takeaway menus to eat in the room
Staff were brilliant, chinese eat as much as you want evening meal excellent, drinks good and the breakfast was the best \I have had this ticks all the boxes and cannot wait to go back.
Only there for one night
Large wellappointed room with microwave, fridge, tea and coffee, very quiet, comfortable bed, great breakfast. Very affordable and close to Cambridge for perople with a car...but not Cambridge prices. Lovely staff...quaint little counry pub, but the accoommodation is modern motel style out the back.
The staff were great, very friendly, approachable and helpful. Also liked the microwave and fridge in the room, very handy if staying for a number of days.
Lack of info regarding shower, lack of water pressure for the shower, ascot type water heater for the sink.
No frills, but clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. The Chinese menu was excellent and good value for money. Breakfast good.
Staff were friendly and food was excellent and cooked on order .
nothing as we only really needed it for a place to sleep as we were down for a Funeral .
