Nice friendly staff. The pub serves good real ale and lovely Chinese food. I was only staying for two nights so it didn't matter but they only do Chinese and nothing on a Wednesday. Although my room was very clean and smelt fresh, I could smell cigarette smoke from the next room; this even set off the smoke alarm in my room! They should make all rooms none smoking. I reported this on checking out to the proprietor who said she would consider the matter seriously.

Probably the friendliest place I have stayed in the past 25 years - not only the staff but the local customers as well - very unusual for a village pub. After arriving & being shown to our room in the unattached block - (not just left to find it ourselves) we went to the bar & within 20 minutes were on first name terms with everyone there. Evening meals are Chinese only but very good & reasonably priced. Breakfasts can be huge or as little as you like & can be arranged as early as you like. Liked the place so much have already booked for later in the year.

low key country pub with very friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. Excellent parking facilities The only problem we encountered was that on arrival we found there was no overhead lighting in the bedroom and none in the bathroom, due to a bad storm which had affected the electrics to the rooms.

The staff were very nice and friendly, The breakfast was very good, but Dee needs help at breakfast time. The room we were in needed a good make over. It was tired and did not look very inviting. The carpet was very dirty. The matresses did not have a cover only a sheet on top.

Great chalet separate from the pub with fridge, microwave and toaster as well as kettle. Take away from pub delivered to us and able to go and fetch drinks from the pub too so able to sit outside the room enjoying the sunshine after 4-yr old had gone to sleep inside. The Chinese food was really good as an added bonus.
