With free Wi-Fi on site, ibis budget Southampton Centre is situated right in the heart of Southampton. The train station is a few minutes’ walk away, and the Medieval City Walls are also close by.

We had a lovely meal with generous portions in the hotel restaurant. Good breakfast as well.
Bathroom needs updating (we have stayed previously in another room where the bathroom was excellent).
Breakfast was the best I have had and I've stayed in a lot of 5 star hotels!
The room provided was on the ground floor and the hotel parking facility was really good. Tea/coffee in bedroom was a welcome addition and the beds were amazingly comfortable.
Twin room with one bed in a corner from which the TV was not visible. The main road outside the hotel can be very busy and getting in and out of the car park can be difficult but this depends a lot on the time of day. The ideas for breakfast were very good, i.e., cereals, etc. available on a central table but the cooked english breakfast was very substandard, with overcooked bacon to the point where it was impossible to cut it with the cutlery provided - it had obviously been previously cooked and then cooked again when ordered which meant it was more appropriate as a sole on a shoe, sausages were hard, dry and burnt, but don't complain to the management as you are immediately told that is how they always serve it and that there is absolutely nothing wrong with it... what happened to 'the customer is always right'? I wonder..... Overall the staff attitude could have been better. No offer to help with suitcases even though I was the disabled guest which they knew about. Also the shower room (wet room type with a sliding door that needed to be lifted to open and close it - not very practical if the occupant is in a wheelchair) the floor under the shower is on the wrong slope so when the shower runs the water from the shower makes an escape attempt under the door to the bedroom and only the smallest amount going down the plug hole. I had to put bath towels on the floor to absorb the water before it reached the door. The floor of the shower area then becomes extremely slippery underfoot. They also have their own restaurant but this is down some extremely steep narrow steps so we had to go out for our evening meal as I couldn't get down the steps. Such a shame that these, some of which are really important, issues arose as the hotel is really nice, clean and comfortable.
the room was clean, airy and spacious with lovely decor.
Have stayed here before, good value for money and good location as not far from cruise terminal.
The room was well decorated and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. If ever I am in Southampton again I would be sure to stay again.
Staff is friendly and room condition is excellent. Travelling outward Southampton in the morning avoids bad centre traffic.
The breakfast could have been better.
This hotel was excellent and way exceeded our expectations of a two star. The staff were very friendly and accommodating too. We would definitely choose to stay here again.
Very comfortable in all respects and helpful staff.
Would like a more varied menu for evening meal.
Friendly staff, nice room and bathroom.
Breakfast was a disappointment. Bread was basic sliced , local made bread would have been nice. Mushrooms were horrible. A magnifying mirror , shower cap and tissues would have been good .
The Elizabeth House is an older, historic hotel and that is part of its charm and inconvenience. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast delicious. There is no lift, but the owners graciously carried our bags. We would return.
Location was ideal for family members going on a cruise and able to leave their car. Reception staff were friendly welcoming and helpful. My request for an extra bed in the room was easily accommodated. Room was warm and comfortable with space for our party to sit and talk.
The only down side was that the restaurant was not open for evening meal, but we only had to walk for 10minutes to reach a pleasant pub for dinner, so not really a problem.
The English breakfast is excellent. The room is big. With a large bathroom. The cab to the peir was reasonable. There is a modern pub within walking distance, Gitty Bridge, which we went to both nights. Decently would stay again.
Friendly staff good food. Car park and great location.
Excellent modern large rooms & bathrooms Very clean & comfortable Excellent breakfast Excellent wifi - does not drop out mobile devices!
room comfortable, excellent breakfast and staff helpful
Room very comfortable and the hotel was within walking distance of the city.
We were disappointed when we arrived that the person at reception appeared to be wholly disinterested in us or the quality of our stay.
A very pleaseant stay. I have stayed at Elizabeth House before and have previously submitted a review.
Location, clean good sized rooms
Breakfast has gone down hill, more like a microwave heated and very" bitty"..it was disappointing.
Lovely big clean room - double and single bed but still plenty of space for little table and two chairs. Great breakfast Friendly staff Easy bus ride to town Plenty of free parking Value for money
Good welcome for us and our dog. Lovely breakfast.
Convenient position, very clean & comfortable, super breakfast, excellent short stay. Thank you.
The room was great for 3 friends staying together. Good breakfast and friendly staff.
The bedroom was very cosy, the bed was comfortable and we got a lovely breakfast in the morning. Very professional and helpful staff.
The corridor smelt of damp which permeated to the room slightly.
Lack of blind in bathroom
