Breakfast was lovely and room was plenty big enough for me my sister my 6 month baby and our dog
We stayed on a Saturday night and there was other guests who had quite loud music- although I think it was the hotel next door- It was finished by 12am and we only heard it as the hotel itself was so quiet!!
The gentleman who greeted us was very friendly. They had arranged prior to our visit to let us check in early. They provided a parking permit for us during our stay as parking is pretty tricky (you can get this on the day you arrive). Hotel was clean and tidy and a great price.
The only thing was the decor, which was very dated, and things like the cupboards in the rooms were in a bit of a shabby condition but other than that it was fine.
Good value for money Excellent breakfast Good location
What more can I say!
Friendly and good breakfast
Decoration very tired
Lovely place, good value, clean and welcoming staff.
Unfortunately our room was near the kitchen so we were woken at 7.15am by staff chatting outside our window. Apart from that it was a lovely stay.
A nice quiet room.
The closest parking is limited to 2 hours by purchasing a ticket.
Location was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful, good breakfast
rooms were outdated our bathroom especially, shower was extremely small
great location, friendly helpful owner, very clean and good breakfast
Excellent breakfast. Comfortable bed. Quiet room
the breakfast was excellent and the manager very friendly
the shower cubicle could have been larger
bed was comfy nice owner / staff member
old decor small rooms very cramped towels were small doors didnt feel secure
Very helpful staff, food very good, breakfast choice very good Rooms had everything one needed.
Very friendly welcome, good breakfast, exellent location- just by the sea and close to city centre really few minutes walk. The hotel is the old fashion style but I really liked it. We were staying at fourth floor but there is a lift. As I realised they have disabled facilities and people who needed it were so happy staying there. Well recommended!
Excellent personal service from Peter who looked after us so kindly...super breakfasts..good local parking (off season)
My bathroom was a bit shabby (carpet etc) but, apart from a temperamental toilet, everything worked well. We found the quilts and their covers rather too warm (and the sheet was not enough by itself)
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful, approachable and cheerful. The facilities were clean and the buffet style breakfast was excellent.
The room was a little on the small side & in need of an upgrade from the point of view of furnishings.
Lift not working. 61 steps up to top floor. Cold water in shower only. Dripping tap all night. Very worn carpet, even in shower. Wobbly bedside light and wardrobe. Window edirty, couldn't see out. Everything very out of date and needs a coat of paint and updating. Would not stay again or recommend it.
Nice friendly owner and picked as only for 1 night due to walking distance to theatre. Breakfast was nice.
It's very very dated! Like walking back into the 1970's era! Needs a complete makeover. Would of been disappointed if staying more than 1 night as did think the price was quite expensive.
The hotelier gave me a friendly welcome, the room was comfortable (even though this is not a modern hotel), nice breakfast and value for money. Will definitely book this hotel again during my elongated working contract in Eastbourne.
Lovely traditional English seaside hotel. Next to prom, theatres and a short street with 2 chippys a Thai, 2 Italians and a cafe. Corner shop. No need to travel into town which is about 20 mins walk or a trip on a no 3 bus straight to the station
The only problem I found is that it can be quite hard to find the manager as he does sometimes go out and leave the hotel unattended
My stay was good and I enjoyed the breakfast. The hotel facilities were also good. I also liked the staff who were very friendly and helpful.
My room was not ready on my arrival so I had to wait for another 40 minutes before gaining access to my room
Owner was very pleasant and helpful.
Not obvious that there were stairs at the front entrance. Fortunately we had a room on the entrance level. Lift was not working so any more stairs would have been a show stopper.
good value hotel in good position near seafront. Basic, but you don't stay in do you...Good breakfast at start of day
Bed wasn't comfortable
The hotel is convenient for visiting the local theatres. Parking is not a problem, and some good dining establishments are within walking distance. The hotel has easy access for the disabled with a lift to all floors. In all ,a very nice hotel and not expensive.T
