Very happy with our stay at the Ellesmere, clean, warm and comfortable. Extremely helpful and pleasant proprietor and staff. Delicious english breakfast, would stay again and recommend to friends, great value.

Room very small and dated only sore staff on arrival and departure

Only stayed one night, but thought is was value for money enjoyed breakfast which was buffet so I could choose the amount I had, it was very nice to, would stay again.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The manager/owner was friendly and helpful. (excelent recommendation to visit the nearby theatre) Price was very competitive for the Premier Inn/Travelodge market. Good breakfast too. Very enjoyable experience all round.

No dedicated hotel parking, (but in fairness free on-street parking was not far away, but during the busy season I think this could be an issue)

Everything was straightforward with no hassle.

The bathroom fittings were really modern but lacked a shelf over the hand basin,nowhere to put your shaving stuff.

I thought the hotel was clean ideally situated for the theatre and food was good so were the staff

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good, freshly cooked.

Shower was very small but adeqquate.

The owners are really nice and very attentive. Its locations is superb, near the sea side, theatre, restaurants

The breakfast was excellent and very good value. The bed was comfy and the bed linen good quality. I liked the way we collected our key and let ourselves in. The shower was a good size.

The decor in the bedroom was a bit tired. Our bathroom was very cold!

very good location,very friendly proprietor,who was also very helpful,letting me use fridge to store medication.food was very good,all you can eat buffet,full english,rooms are basic with very comfortable beds.easy access for those who cannot manage stairs

there was nothing that we did not like,apart from the fact that I do not like the colour red,and a lot of the furnishings were red

The hotel was very near the seafront and within walking distance to the shopping centre. It was easy to park for free nearby. Our top floor room was very cosy and the staff were most friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also very good.

Nice and quiet place to stay. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Location nearby beach.

Small room.

Conveniently near the beach and promenade, very near to the theatres and a pleasant walk or short drive to the South Downs. Comfortable room with tea-making facitlies. The en-suite was adequate. The hotel kindly provided parking very close by and at no cost to us.

Only the fact that the hot-water tap in our room would not run more than slightly warm or tepid. However, our kettle sorted that out and the shower was fine.

Breakfast was ok.

Dated decor throughout, cobwebs, shower was flipping between hot and cold, overcharged for basic amenities, uncomfortable bed etc... possibly the worst place I've stayed!!

Free wifi. Sea view. Very friendly owner. Parking outside hotel. Good breakfast. Opposite Winter Garden Hall, so convenient if attending events.
