The anti room only had a net curtain the window faced the car park and had to plug the kettle into the bedroom as where the kettle lived did not have a plug. It was also quite away from Midhurst
Lovely quiet location, slept very soundly and staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend staying here. We were visiting Chichester and it took us about twenty minutes door to door in the car which was perfect. Easy access to the city but lovely quiet rural location.
It is a relatively rural location which was a plus for us but could be a minus for people who want things in walking distance
Attention to every little detail. Food really good, well cooked local organic products. Cosy and sociable bar.
Malcolm and Lisa were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable. Meals were excellent: fresh, individual and from local produce. Minor problems (drip in bathroom, next door's alarm) were sorted very quickly. Very pleasant and comfortable atmosphere.
We have no complaints.
Owners Pub Food (evening and breakfast) Environment Calm
Friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast and good value.
Nice, relaxed, great sleep and very very nice staff. Parking space was enough as well. Awesome!
Getting there without car from Midhurst may be not easy
Food excellent,so good to see interesting food on menu.Breakfast great.Hosts charming couple.
This is a proper country inn with excellent rooms and delicious food. The the owners are doing a great job in offering all of this and still running a welcoming pub for locals.
Nothing to complain about, really good value.
malcolm and Lisa were very friendly and eager to ensure everything was alright for us. Emma the bar manager made us feel very welcome. The food is excellent, we had a lovely evening meal and breakfast the following morning was the best we have had. Our dog was also made very welcome, so nice to find somewhere like this that takes dogs..
Excellent breakfast and made it feel very welcome for all of our stay
The Elsted Inn is a lovely little B&B, with 4 rooms in a separate building off the back of the pub. Our room was sweet and had everything we needed and the shower was excellent. Malcolm and Lisa (the owners) couldn't have been more helpful and hospitable and the location of the Inn in the middle of the countryside but easy to access by car from train stations like Haslemere was great. The real highlight though was the food - the breakfast and dinner were both unbelievably good and Lisa was really willing (keen in fact) to adapt an already incredible menu to personal tastes. Can't recommend highly enough.
Nice people Nice place Nice breakfast, accomodating and pleasant
Excellent breakfast. Pleasant staff.
Dusty room. Very basic with no heating and small. Price far too expensive for facilities.
Excellent hosts Very good breakfast Very good meals Good real ale
A little limited choice of meals and not a great deal of variation in vegetables Bedroom was very cramped
Friendly staff made us feel at home & great food
Limited parking at peak times
The owners, the Inn
Excellent food. Lovely friendly hosts. Lisa a superb cook. Malcolm very helpful and even dropped us off for our walk on the South Downs and told us a great circular walk. Really enjoyed our stay. Good value too.
We recommend this B&B in the delightful Sussex countryside. We received a warm welcome. There was a really well fitted out, newly installed wet room and the bedroom was nicely decorated. The beautifully presented breakfast set us up for the whole day. We enjoyed a relaxing late evening drink in the bar and enjoyed a chat with Malcolm, our host. Strongly recommend the Elsted Inn for a quiet country location.
Informal friendly but excellent.
Nothing of note!
Malcolm & Lisa are lovely friendly hosts. The room was very comfortable and food delicious. We were only there for one night but we would definitely like to go there again. Wonderful to find a place where pets are welcome.
Hosts where very friendly and very helpful. The setting is lovely. Rooms comfortable & clean with great shower. All round great break for a family wedding nearby would definitely stay again.
Food in the pub is expensive, however good quality
Welcoming staff nothing was too much bother
Prices a little bit high for sandwiches. A little bit too far out of Midhurst and taxis need to be booked in advance
Location Hosts and food. The little touches - bottle of water in room. Room lovely and bathroom very up to date.
Thoroughly enjoyable, superb hosts, with a very personal touch
Couldn't fault it
