ideally situated. Spacious comfortable room. Great valus for money.
wifi didnt work in room but no big deal as we were only there one night.
Very efficient staff to cater for our needs
The bed in our first room was very poor with the springs sticking up. However the staff were very accomodating and gave us a choice of other rooms
Good location, friendly staff, nice room and comfy bed.
Plenty of towels, clean and good tea and coffee facilities.
Pillows supplied were flat... no support. Shower had no pressure and was fixed near draught window and curtain wasn't wide enough so kept touching you while showering.
The room had a lovely view, excellent location by the sea, lovely, clean comfortable bedroom, TV and WiFi, a lovely bath in my room too. Overall very happy.
When I was dining the waitress called me a Ra which wasn't very nice for me first thing and the breakfast was not included, whereas I thought it was in the rate. Nine pounds for scrambled egg on hash browns was too expensive for me. So just confirm breakfast is included when you book.
On arrival, I was welcomed by a lady with warm, friendly smile. My room was well fitted out, with a big, soft bed with freshly laundered sheets, etc., and the bathroom was of a very similar standard. Both were SPOTLESS!! The view from my room, of the town and the bay, was absolutely superb. I enjoyed a quiet and restful nights sleep, in a lovely tranquil environment. This hotel offers outstanding value for money. Treat yourself...Stay at "The Esplanade" in Scarborough.

GOOD CENTRAL POSITION OF HOTEL
screen over bath, hard to move if I was 5 years older I would have found it was dangerous ,climbing over toilet to get into bath.
Great location with fabulous views across the bay. Plenty of hot water, warm room toiletries and ample clean towels. Freeview telly tea coffee making facilites.
Rooms a little outdated and an old smell to the corridors and room. Windows a bit old and tatty could do with updating. Bar prices a bit expensive. Some of the staff a bit miserable
Wanted view of sea Got view of back road
Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was to much for them especially the night porter. Got back early hours of the sunday morning from a long night out and he was fantastic. Made to feel really welcome even at that time of the morning. Definetly will stay again.
Décor was a bit tired in the room. Ceiling paper peeling off in various places. Just a little TLC needed nothing serious.
Clean and comfortable , Very warm Excellent location and views. Free parking if you get there early enough
Large, comfortable room. Sea view. Large bath. Friendly staff. Good location Good value
Throughly positive stay
We were on the top floor and had a corner room with fantastic views out to sea from one window and over the seafront and the castle from the other. Room and beds were clean and comfortable.
No Wi-Fi connection. We asked the staff for advice and tried the password several times but it wouldn't work. When we booked you couldn't tell whether or not breakfast was included, it wasn't.
Location,value for money
The bathroom could do with a refit
Loved everything a perfect stay, will book again.
Loved the location and the view. My room was very cosy and had an armchair for relaxing in. Decor was great, and the staff was very helpful.
Was disappointed in the cost of breakfast (£9), which I did not get. Would have been nice to eat it with the beautiful view.
Helpful staff Location Room and bathroom Views across Scarborough from bar Parking
Views of Sea
