Staff friendly and pleasant. Pillows uncomfortable. TV much too small for the room. Lighting not adequate in bathroom. |

Sorry to say but the faults far exceed the positives, & so am making a written complaint. Therefore it is in the best interests not to comment at this stage. |

Its setting on Fistral Beach....especially lovely vantge point from which to watch the sunset while sipping a gin and tonic. Its position on the coastal path....ideal for walkers. |

service at the reception very attentive and sympatic, away from the masses, wonderful location with view to the sea, surf & spa packages food and the staff in the restaurant were disappointing, food was old and tasteless, wine was cheap&expensive, staff was unorganized, long waiting times, breakfast was ok |

Proximity to the beach plus, the bed was extrememly comfortable. The only thing that was a little bit disappointing was the short window within which to have breakfast - 8am to 10am on a weekday |

Fantastic view looking over fistral Bay, watching the surfers. Relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff Staff in restaurant were not the best - it was their first night and they did not know about the menu, wine and table etiquette. However, they were very friendly. |

the staff were extremley helpful, and meals were served quick and to a high standard. the first room we stayed in was standard which was a bit grim with a hard bed so we upgraded to a best room which was lovely, with sea view and well worth it. |

I rated the cleanliness of room as poor because there was an infestation of bluebottles. However staff were excellent in their response and quickly moved me to a good room. Also I required first aid for a sore foot and the service was again prompt and high standard - thanks layout of rooms and access was a bit confusing - perhaps need more signage indicating how to get from rooms to reception and back |

The surfing facilities (changing room and surfboard room) are the reason why we always stay in the Esplanade. Limited car park spaces. |

The sea view was amazing.Staff were very friendly and approachable. All in all good value for money. The bedrooms werent very sound proof. The room for breakfast was very busy, which I know is to be expected but this meant the tables were crammed together and our chairs kept getting knocked as people walked by to get food especially as we were placed right next to the toast making machine and cereal table..It made us feel uncomfortable eating with everyone stood literally on top of us watching. |

Being close to Fistral Beach, although the walk into town was either a long walk up hill or via a narrow track (across country) which collected large puddles. The hotel was tired and really requires a re-vamp. The price we paid for the room was way above what it was actually worth. The breakfast was a fairly low standard and the coffee cups were stained. The staff were surprised when we asked for clean ones! |

The excellent service from nj in the restaurant in the morning and the afternoon, breakfast was a great selection. That the dinner food in the restaurant was left standing for a long period, so quality not great. No secure lockers or proper changing facilities for the swimming pool. |
