An excellent comfortable stay for our family. Staff were exciting and the sea view is incredible.
view wifi reachability
noice of creeping wood of upper floor under the carpet
Staying in a room with a sea view was wonderful as the location was perfect. The bed was large and comfortable. The room very clean. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and professional. Meals were lovely and hot.
There could have been a little more choice on the menu. The rooms were not very soundproof.
Room 124 very hot we asked to move and this was no problem at all.
Staff were great, very helpful.
The floor boards in the hotel can be very creaky, which affects the sleep quality.
- Location - Staff very friendly - Understanding staff and helpful - Small but nice swimming and Jacuzzi - Beach just few steps away - Free parking on road in front (always available)
- Price slightly above expectancy - Front Car park is always full
A well located, clean hotel with good food and very pleasant staff. We had a great week.
We had some very noisy guests staying at the time we were there. Although this is not the fault of the hotel, the sound seemed to travel through the walls excessively. All quiet after about 11.30pm though.
Breakfast starts too late for the business traveller
Ideal situation overlooking Fistral Beach, excellent staff.
Fantastic situation. With a sea view room we were able to watch the surfers from there as well as from the Restaurant and Lounge - so there was a permanent source of entertainment! The staff were all very pleasant and helpful - any request we made was dealt with extremely promptly - eg for decaff tea bags in our room, rubber bath mat for the bath. We shall certainly return - our last-minute "find a place to stay" paid off in spades.
The whole trip was excellent from the staff to the room, food everything, and the staff always going that little bit further to make your stay a happy one
Rooms were too hot
Attentive staff, reasonable double room, good location.
Noise at night, breakfast starts at 8:00am which was too late for me.
Facilities, staff, restaurant
some problems with noisy floor above
The location was fab. Our room had a balcony overlooking fistral bay which was lovely. Breakfast was very good. Staff all friendly and good facilities.
No wifi signal at all in the room which was quite disappointing.
Couldn't connected to wifi.
Location Pleasant staff, very helpful.
Room very warm, difficult to operate windows. Noise from above rooms, understand not hotels fault.
Location, staff, food, indoor pool on wet days. Surf shop next door good value wet suit hire.
Our room had no aircon not sure if others did.
The facilities, which really helped when it was raining
The food in the dining room. We had the wrong food delivered, the pizza was half cooked, the burger was wrong and not for a child as asked and the fish and chips was a childs portion even though it was mean't for an adult.
Noisy children . jumping and banging above
Loved the atmosphere and friendly staff. Each night they put stories under the room door for the children.
Room was over-looked by other rooms and there was no view but it guess it couldn't be helped.
Great location Reception staff were friendly at check in
Hotel was very noisy- could hear people walking around upstairs, kids running in corridors, and pipes were very loud at night Restaurant was average- front of house was not friendly, food was poor
All the hotel staff, reception, restaurant, and housekeeping had a friendly attitude to their guests. No request was too much trouble and service was prompt. The standard room was very comfortable and clean. A highly enjoyable stay.
Parking at the hotel was difficult at times, however it was Newquay at August Bank Holiday so it was to be expected.
Food in the restaurant was excellent and good choices for children. Pool was nicely presented. Children's club manager was excellent. Surfing instructors nextdoor at Quicksilver were very helpful too.
Poor service in the restaurant on all 3 nights. Unexplained as there were enough staff on duty. Took 25 minutes for drinks to arrive at the table one night and on another we were asked if we would like dessert when we hadn't even had our main course.
