I have been to this hotel in the past and thought it was great then as I do now. The on site restaurant was brill and a good choice on the menu. Slightly pricy but hey ho. Good bar area. Warm throughout. Good parking for our large van. highly recommend this hotel
The telly didn't work in room 21 and the bed was hard. Told reception and they upgraded me to a Double room that was really nice.
The staff The location
The room was cold
The food was good.
The noise from the car park. The bedroom needed to have double glazing. The hot tap in the sink was loose.
Central location, easy access Good restaurant menu

Nice building, good security

Location was very convenient for visiting family in Chalfont St Peter and room very reasonably priced.
Noisy room at back ground floor over air con unit.
The location was perfect
The breakfast was cold. The room was noisy. The toilet didn't flush.
Friendly and helpful staff. Great Food,( Breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and drinks. Great service .Heating good and plenty of hot water. Great location. Handy to public transport and taxis. Close to shops. The outdoor area was well heated and comfortable. I would stay there again for sure.
I was visiting friends in nearby Chalfont St Peter for Xmas, and the Ethorpe was handily situated. It’s a lovely Georgian-style hotel; full of character, easy to park, with friendly & helpful staff.
As I was only staying one night, I booked the cheap ‘n’ cheerful end of things with a twin room, so didn’t expect too much! But I wouldn’t have minded a slightly better bed and duvet. These days we’re rather spoiled by the larger chains, and not used to small 3’ beds any more. Not unpleasant though! One thing: The hot water was HOT! .. which I appreciated, but if you’ve young children with you, could mean you’re constantly having to keep them well away from any taps !
bar close at 10pm floor creaks horibbly bed matrace was horribly hard, I couldn'r sleep
Location right next to rail station, easy access to London. Hotel price about half than central London so worth considering for weekend stays etc
Bathroom needs updating. Windows rusty and damp (single glazed), bit of mould on the wall (due to dampness).
No hot water but was given another room with no hot water
Friendly polite staff willing to go the extra mile. Thank you - South Africans ;-)
Cooked breakfast was quite greasy. Hash browns were particularly nasty. Breakfast price was reasonable but I would pay more to have better quality food
The Staff were pleasant but overworked.
The Room number 27......damp with mould on the walls and roller blind in bathroom.Heater in room noisy,no soap in dispensers and dirty window sills. Breakfast....too many people and too few staff.
Staff are friendly and helpful
Good breakfast, served promptly
Erratic keycard system that required frequent revalidation.
Welcoming staff. Good sized bedroom and bathroom.
10 minute wait for hot water at 7pm. Room had leaking lavatory and drain from shower unit needed attention. All mentioned to staff.
The pub Very friendly staff Walking distance to the train station Very good breakfast
The Ethorpe is a warm and welcoming place to stay and the staff are excellent, friendly and welcoming. Would not hesitate to return in the future.
