Quiet room well located hotel with close proximity to many restaurants.Good value for this area.
The staff were so friendly and helpful and make me feel at home
Helpful, cheerful staff. Comfortable room. Good food. Easy parking.
Some of the furniture and fittings getting a little tired in the lounge and restaurant.
Nice hotel comfortable and staff are great food is very good and priced well so you can eat on a company set budget
Lovely old building with lots of character in a great location and very convenient for trains to London. Friendly staff, clean with good facilities.
Breakfast not good. Coooked breakfast OK but nothing to shout about. Continental breakfast serlection very limited. Croissants in cellophane wrap, not fresh. No fresh fruit although this was on menu. Rooms were made up every day, but service was haphazard with beds not properly made, towles changed although we did not require it, no milk or tea replenishment in room etc.
Location , car parking, value for money,
Rump steak in resturante ,not the best quality
Great location for catching the train into London.
Odd smell in the corridors and bathroom very outdated and in need of a good clean
Perfect location for us to visit family. Comfortable and great breakfast! Extra pillows provided when requested.
The shower in the room was wonderful! The food in the restaurant was really excellent too. The staff were really polite.
Disturbed by someone's car alarm going off 5 times in the car park on our first night! We must have been just unlucky.
I absolutely love the ethorpe its very tranquill amazing food lovely rooms and brilliant staff especially the lady on reception unfortunately i dont know her name but very funny and friendly
Noise in the night. Guest book says phone '0' for reception. No phone in the room. Had to leave small child in the room alone and walk down to reception in the middle of the night.
We love the Jacuzzi bath and the bed is so comfy the food is also really nice and good value for money. We always stay in the Tudor room whenever we visit the Ethorpe hotel
We always stay in the Tudor room but on the last visit a couple of things were wrong. Such as the Jacuzzi bath can only be turned on from the bedroom now as the button in the bath doesn't work anymore so it's an inconvenience to have to get in and out to turn the jets on and off. Also when having a shower the water would not drain away so the water spilled out onto the floor
Especially The staff serving The breakfast was extremely friendly and remembered US from previous visits.
Very Helpful staff ( Directions etc )
Room 25 our beds moved a lot just by sitting on them.
the fan heater is loud
The Hotel provided us with a clean, tidy room and a good breakfast. The Staff were friendly and willing to assist at all times. The price per room was reasonable.
We found the Hotel to be too hot and stuffy in the public areas whereas in your room you could control the heat/airconditioner this was not possible in the public rooms. Also was very surprised that the bar closed at 11pm prompt and there was no residency bar, this was quite disappointing as we were down for a Wedding with Family and Friends and on a weekend
the room was rather cold
Great location for our needs - 20' train into London at 5' walk Great Pub
Don't be fooled by the pictures on booking. com - rooms we got are nothing like that. Probably the worst bed I ever slept in.
The staff were friendly and attentive. I did not have to wait for help or food in the restaurant or at Reception.
Nice bar area for meeting friends and good smokers area (I'm not even a smoker!)
Very limited bathroom products. Soap by sink would be nice.
Staff were helpful
We had asked for the Disabled room. On arrival we found that it was cold and that half the light bulbs were missing - so we couldn't even see to try and turn the heating on! It was also located by the main entrance door so could have been noisy.
I have been to this hotel in the past and thought it was great then as I do now. The on site restaurant was brill and a good choice on the menu. Slightly pricy but hey ho. Good bar area. Warm throughout. Good parking for our large van. highly recommend this hotel
The telly didn't work in room 21 and the bed was hard. Told reception and they upgraded me to a Double room that was really nice.
The staff The location
The room was cold
The food was good.
The noise from the car park. The bedroom needed to have double glazing. The hot tap in the sink was loose.
