Breakfast was really nice but so slow to arrive,no butters offered for the toast
Great for cyclists - your cycle will be kept safe and the beers good too
Excellent location, decor and the attitude and helpfulness of the staff.
The fact that we had a small, quiet, clean, housetrained dog and it was no problem to them. Also the side entrance made convenient for going in and out.
The people were really helpfull and nice, the hotel was lovelly. Very good value also.
Very helpful and friendly staff
The height of the bed was low and the foot of the bed very near the wall not easy to get around - room 4.
The room was bright and clean and large bathroom. We had an iron & mini ironing board, and a hair dryer all in the wardrobe which meant we didn't have to go asking for anything. The kettle and cups were big (not tiny hotel size you sometimes get). The beds were v comfy. Staff were polite and friendly.
Insufficient local info to hand. We had to go to our car in the long stay car park at 8 on Sunday to buy a ticket as the text phone pay details didn't work. It was pouring rain, no staff around yet and there were no local taxi details in the room info folder or on the notice board.
Friendly atmosphere, very polite and helpful staff. Working for a prominent national newspaper covering the Shrewsbury Flower Show, we needed somewhere close to the showground with good communications. Morgans really fitted the bill for us. We intend to stay there again.
We were at the front of the hotel and it was a bit noisey for us (we live in a very quiet village). Car parking can be inconvenient.
excellent location for the purpose of our trip
little bit noisy in the morning, bins in the street being emptied etc
Great location, clean room and bathroom, helpful staff
Bathroom tap that shoots water all over you when you turn it on!!
Very nice room and bathroom. We arrived early and had to wait to check-in, but could leave our luggage at the hotel. When we got back the staff had kindly carried our three large suitcases up to our room.
The floor in the shower was increadibly slippery, which we didn't appreciate. Since there's no staff on site when the restaurant is closed, I would feel a bit uneasy staying here as a solo female traveller, although the front door is locked for everyone but guests, but if travelling with someone else I would certainly return.
Staff friendly. Very clean. Good location
The room was advertised as small but I didn't expect it to be quite so small. Felt a bit claustrophobic as no window could be seen from the bed.
straff so friendly to soft my problem
As a family room it was quite small, the curtains were very thin and did not fit so let a lot of light in which in summer was not good at all.
A nice hotel, good location, very clean. We liked the big room, view is fine. Tea-making facilities. The room is rather spacious for two, actually, 3 guests can stay in the big double without any trouble.
A bit noisy because of the road outside. But in the night it's ok. No air conditioning, we didn't need it, but it was not hot when we stayed.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We ate here too and, although there was an error in the order, this was dealt with efficiently and apologetically. The food was very good.
The room was a little bit small.
Stayed with a friend in the twin room at the weekend had a few drinks in the bar and headed out. Can't wait to come again rooms were fantastic so was the wine
Very small double room
Great Hotel. I always stay here in Shrewsbury. Would definitely recommend.
The location is excellent - near the park and the river, but not far from the railway and bus stations (10 minutes or less by foot). The rooms are spotlessly clean and the condition of the furniture is very good. By chance we booked several nights in different rooms. The Small Double room had a microwave, kettle and even a stove (pleasant surprise!). By the way, the room was really small but all right for two middle-sized persons who are not going to spend all the time at the hotel. The Standard double room was more spacious and maybe more suitable for a romantic weekend, but more noisy also - it overlookes a quite busy road. And there were no cooking facilities. The restaurant downstairs is nice.
There were some inaccuracies like one set of towels in the room, no mineral water for one day. The bill at the restaurant was wrong once - which we noticed and had it rocounted. I believe those are small things but they spoil a bit the whole impression. But overall I would recommend this hotel.
staff , location , choice of food and drink attentiveness of staff
nothing not to like
Extras in room for eg microwave etc
Room was small.
Location - Friendly staff -
Shower was a bit dangerous - Water extremely hot but you needed to get in it to turn it on Pricey as well but a nice place
Location good bar lively but not noisy. Over all pleasent stay for one night but two nights in tiny room would not have been so good.
Squeaky floor board's along foot of bed. Squeaky not a strong enough word to describe noise. it waa loud enough to wake partner when struggling along tiny space at bottom of bed to use lovely bathroom (except for mould in shower). Bed a little low for more mature guests and if it had a normal frame it would give a good 20cm bigger gap. Could not switch main light off from bed. No reading light on one side of bed.
Staff are lovely, great location, room quiet even though over the bar / restaurant
