Central location.Check in and out simple, quick, and straight forward. Clean, modern, and functional fixtures and fittings
Room a bit cramped to accommodate bed frame. Large bathroom in comparison with large dead space between inner and outer doors. Mattress not paticularly comfortable.
Great Value For money and very clean nice rooms.
Loud lounge bar in evening and no parking.
Nice clean room, very helpful staff
My put up bed wasn't made ready but this was quickly sorted. The put up bed was a little lumpy with a thin mattress. I guess this bed is usually used by a child - it was fine for one night only for me. My daughters were comfy in the double bed.
Perfect location for old town. Clean practical room.
No on site parking. But pay site nearby. Room up 2 flights of stairs not a problem for us but maybe for others.
Stayed overnight at Morgan @ The Exchange Hotel whilst doing some Christmas shopping in Shrewsbury. The location, staff and dinner were of a very high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal.
Size of the bedroom and the low soft mattress on the bed. Also, lack of long stay parking nearby. It was quite a walk in the multi-storey car park in the rain but the cost was very reasonable at £8 for 24 hours.
the staff were very helpful and accommodating.anything I asked for was dealt with quickly and with a smile.we had Sunday lunch around 6ish and this was really good.
the beds were so low!!!I had to roll out of it to stand up.the curtains in the bedroom were very shabby and torn.in the bathroom the towel rail next to the hand basin was broken and I caught my arm on it and drew blood. Not impressed.
The hotel is situated just off the main shopping street, so easy access to shops. Friendly staff and excellent service. The food was excellent as was the room.
Unfortunately there was a problem with the toilet flush which had not been reported by an outgoing customer. Only a small inconvenience for us and did not spoil our stay.
Nice hotel in a nice location. Food good, friendly staff. Good price.
Parking not the best close to hotel. Better and cheaper parking near by.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, great location. Clean room and bathroom and fab food. would definitely stay here again.
Bathroom could do with a good clean and a re paint. If it hadn't of been a last minute thing would have complained
Excellent kitchen with fridge, though I didn't need it. Sky light over the nice bed.
No table/desk to sit, no mirror in the room. No towel rail you can reach from shower. TV can be watched only from the bed. You can cook but would need to eat with the dish on your lap!
The downstairs bar area and easy walking distance to all attractions
The rooms were a little cramped for 4 people and the shower tray needed work, i.e. grout redoing. This let the very spacious bathroom down unfortunately.
Everything about this place is fantastic.
Only downside is parking, there is a carpark right opposite, but requires you to get up before 8am on a Sunday to buy a ticket (won't let you do it on the Saturday night) We were fined at 8:05 ..doh!!
Bedroom was basic but clean and tidy.
The bar downstairs was loud till 1am
Location, friendly and helpful staff
Lovely staff. Amazing food! Clean and tidy rooms. We loved our time here :)
Shower took a while to heat up.
The hotel itself has recently been refurbished which meant room was to a good standard although did look like it had a few unfinished areas.(screws left of shelf in cupboards). Compact but perfectly adequate room and facilities
No car parking available at the hotel. Price would have been better if included breakfast also
Ideal location , very clean, staff very friendly, overall very happy
walking distance for the town centre
The glass panel by the door into the bar didn't have a screen on it and I walked into the glass, this was rectified by putting a poster up but not before I had broken my glasses and badly bruised my eye!
Location Value for money Cleanliness Helpful staff
Only criticism would be that bedroom curtains were too thin for the level of outside street lighting
Staff probably the best ever encountered in a hotel. Good location in the town centre. Rooms were good.
Beware the sink taps! Turn on too fast and the water cascades over the edge of the sink- and onto you!
Staff were brilliant and really accommodating. They reduced the price as one of the group could no longer stay.
There was no parking options which meant I had to get up at 8 in the morning and put money on the car. Both car parks close by only allowed a 2 hour ticket to be bought. This meant I had to go out again at 10am. Due to the fact that I had been at a wedding the night before I overslept and got a parking ticket. Although this was my fault if parking had been accommodated for this wouldn't have been an issue.
Breakfast was really nice but so slow to arrive,no butters offered for the toast
Great for cyclists - your cycle will be kept safe and the beers good too
