Score from 485 reviews Fabulous
Accomodation was really dated & they had no Wifi in the rooms
Cleanliness very poor, cutlery dirty. Barman opened orange juice carton by poking with his finger. Waiting ages for someone to be in reception. Sleeping block needs condemned .
carvery on the night and breakfast very good. for price we paid ok
accommodation tired and needed up dating bathroom was clean but again old
Easy to find and good location if travelling down to Cornwall.very helpfull staff and very Friendly.
Slightly dated could definetly do with a refurb ie damp on walls wallpaper lifted.
good food good staff
buildings old need refurbishing to modern standards
The location, we were there for the rugby and the ground is only a twenty minute walk away. Nice TV in the room.
Although clean the whole place is badly in need of a refit. As you enter the car park it resembled a waste ground area, the rooms particularly the bathrooms can not have been updated since the seventies.
A good location and easy access for exeter airport.
Good evening meal & beakfast
Horrific smell in the corridors, and very very noisy through out the night.
Included anything you could eat breakfast. Friendly helpful staff.
Changed room due to water leak through ceiling. No internet in rooms. Old bedroom furniture and bathroom fittings. Unmade driveway.
Great value for money, breakfast superb, room clean and comfortable. :)
Fitted to my needs
no door handles on rooms fan in bathroom poor Chaos in dining room
Included buffet breakfast, friendly staff and comfortable bed.
Broken shower head made it difficult to shower in the morning, arriving on foot meant a walk from the train station.
Staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was more than ample. Offered free shaver and/or toothbrush and paste to those guests that did not remember to bring them.
The room was far too hot. The furniture and bath were far too dated and are in desperate need of modernisation! The building itself needs to be painted outside and the corridors also. You could hear the traffic when you kept your window open to air the heated room.
Staff very polite and helpful food was the normal Toby very good
Rooms and decor needs a complete overhaul
filthy shower curtain grubby room smelt of cigarettes.loud drunken guests
The Carvery restaurant
Very shabby corridors Musty smells Washbasin in the bedroom
The housekeeping staff were very friendly and efficient as the cleanliness of the room couldn't be faulted.
It wasn't apparent where the hotel reception was. The corridors smell of dirt and damp. The whole place is very dated and worn. The breakfast arrangement is a complete shambles. The food for breakfast and dinner was dried up under the heat lamps, with the exception of the meat. The waiting staff were mostly unhelpful and unfriendly.
Ideally situated for our needs. Very competatively priced. Very good breakffast.
Room was clean, but in need of refurbish.
The food was really good and so were the staff.
The overall decoration of the accommodation block and our bedroom is pretty poor. The carpets throughout appear as though they were the original ones from say 60/70s? Our bedroom carpet was so thin that the floorboards were giving it an 'undulating' experience. The bathroom was 'out of date' as well. The whole site needs updating. The reception area is stuck in the 60s as is the whole site. Compared with the Holiday Inn Express, which is less than 5 mins drive away (although no onsite food apart from breakfast) leaves this place in the shade. There is also a need for more signage to the place from the motorway
The look, the decor, the dirty carpets, flimsy doors, just the whole place.
Location was fine for waht we wanted
Old fashioned, dirty, rundown. Dreadful.
The food was good while travelling.
Waited 20 minutes to book in. Unorganised at booking in desk Accommodation block corridor, very smelly. Rooms are well below standard. I would of refused to pay if I had not done so already. didn't want to ruin our holiday.
Breakfast was generous, staff were friendly and polite. Bed linen was crisp and clean. Tea and coffee making facility in room.
Scruffy entrance driveway full of potholes. Stale, rather shabby bedroom. Woodwork well overdue for re painting. Window hard to fasten due to loose handle. No chair/stool for desk/dressing table. Basin had several unhygenic cracks. Tatty bathroom with elderly blue bath and loo. Blue wall tiles painted white and now showing through where scratched. Extractor fan not working.
excellent staff service - excellent breakfast - and such a great location -park and ride bus service right outside the Lodge. Brilliant!
Showers rather urgent - power shower difficult to control!
