Score from 448 reviews Excellent
Entrance door not on spring so slammed all night. Very limited breakfast.
Close to m5
Rude staff with accusation tone, no grace to apologise or admit they were wrong.
Excellent staff, especially Karen on front desk..... very helpful and friendly...
the rooms we had were very tired, but hey, its £50 a night with brekkie!
Room Food Beer
A Bit too Tired in need of refurbishment Food was very good but Needs a better bar Menu
Excellent value and we got upgraded to a bigger room. Location perfect for where we needed to be the next day. Good breakfast with lots of choice.
Squeaky bed which was a bit uncomfortable!
Good food friendly staff
Could do a bit of an upgrade re decor /furnishings but OK for short stay
It's difficult to sum up, but you can see that the money has been spent on the eating and drinking areas, leaving the reception, corridors and rooms looking very tatty. The carpets are "tacky" all the doors need painting. The room itself was just al-right , the bed poor with no bounce in the mattress save the springs. The trouser press did not work, the windows were rotting and left my clothes smelling of damp.
Good location, friendly helpfull staff, Clean.
Dated, tired in someareas, shower poor and only light in room was a tiny fluorescent which was not working! Interesting shave!
Nothing about the room or stay but the staff were very friendly
Room was tatty, wallpaper was peeling and there were mould spores at skirting board edge. Would never stay here again. Desperately needs new carpets and decorating in rooms and corridors.
Good location and staff.
It needs a refurb! The rooms are tired and don't compare to Premier Inn .. which is a shame cos the staff are great.. helpful.. and penty of parking.. its just the room I was in needed a real redecorate and to sort out the bathroom and washing facilities.
Easy motorway access, close to exeter, plain, simple food available all day, huge, freecarpark, but best of all,on a very busy weekend our room was very quiet.
Our room was very warm but the heating was off(it was a warm november).long wait for a table on saturday night.room could have been more modern but it was very clean, so for the price we were happy.
Easy to get to, food plenty and good, easy parking, rooms comfortable
+ Restaurant & Bar. They are like a total different world compared to rooms. + Large free parking lot
- Old and dusty rooms. - Feels more like a roaside hostel than a hotel. - Odd way to serve breakfast: One must get their cups from the bar and then go to the buffet-room.
Food in plentiful supply and reasonable quality
Doors that didn't unlock, poorly maintained premises throughout. Wifi advertised as available but only really in bar and restaurant, and then difficult to get online (experiences shared with other guests -- all had similar problem).
location, food and staff were excellent
poor cleanliness of the room, smelly corridor
Staff were quick to move us when we raised issues with the first room given
First room we were given looked as if it hadn't been cleaned and was cold. The hotel looked tired and unloved from the outside.
The service from the hotel manager or supervisor was excellent, the room was clean and warm. For the price we paid there was nothing to complain about and the free breakfast was a great start to the day before we left for work.
Excellent customer service. Friendly and courteous manner from all staff.
Rooms could do with a deep clean, fill in cracks in walls/repair ripped wallpaper, paint to freshen up & window locks to be checked & maintained
everything made such noise , the walls were so thin you could hear conversation in next room , every door was like slamming shut , you could hear everybody flush the toilet or know they were in bathroom due to the noise of extractor fans
Lovely breakfast & carvery. The staff were very helpful, especially when our battery died in the car (because I left they lights on) we couldn't find anyone to help us, who past us in the car park. Staff came to our rescue, a member of staff volunteered her own car to assist. Thanks again for that.
Noisy quest on our first night!
The bed was ok
The place was dirty, rundown, the tv didn't work, staff unhelpful, reception and restaurant had the most awful smell of damp/mothballs. Some of the hotel room doors had gaffer tape and padlocks on where they had been broken down?! Genuinely the worst hotel I've ever stayed in
Food was fab.
Room very dated but ok for one night.
Breakfast excellent Good size rooms Helpful staff
Decor very old Smelly corridors Very warm
Buffet Breakfast was pretty good, Location was ideal for work and access to the town centre, value for money was perfect for 1 night stay
As we had a 3month old kid with us, when we arrived the heating was at max so took a long time to cool the room down till he could sleep. Parents included.
hotel rather dated in need of decoration. An ill fitting door and no handles on bathroom room No 230
