Room was adequate for our needs and town only a 15 minute walk away.
We never receved a warm welcome on arrival, at breakfast staff were not very friendly or helpful with ordering. The breakfast room would benefit from some background music especially around Christmas time
almost nothing clean
lack of space, room is very very small, in bath there are no facilities to leave stuff
I was sure what to expect, but I was very pleased with everything. The breakfast was memorable.
Very cosy room, exerything worked perfectly well, good beds and pillows, nice temperature - not too warm, not too cold. Will definitely come again.
Fairly close to town centre. car parking was a bonus and a good breakfast
Room was very noisy, curtains were dirty and no chairs in room so has to site on the bed
Good comfortable room. Good facilities. Excellent breakfast. On site parking a bonus, and short walk to town centre. Ideal for New Oxford Theatre break.
Nothing much. Strength of wifi
Staffs are nice and helpful. The breakfast is good.
Very central. Nice staff. Very clean. Excellent breakfast. Excellent value for money!
Friendly staff Great location Very clean and comfortable Excellent breakfast
The visit we made was too short!
it was a great b and b...very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Friendly staff.excellent value. Other guests comments such as (Small room..cramped..had to walk into town) are not necessary. This was just an excellent b and b that you could spend a few days at for a reasonable price compared to other hotels nearby. You can find out online just exactly how far it is from the town. It suited us fine. thankyou to the falcon. may see you again
Good location, stayed here before and had good rooms but not this time
Breakfast poor.....sausage awful! Room right at the top of the building far too cramped for a double room!
1. Manageable walking distance to city centre 2. Good and free WiFi. 3. Good breakfast 4. Friendly and professional staff 5. Reasonably clean 6. Mini-mart short walk away
1. A bit expensive, but this is in the uk and there is limited choice in Oxford! 2. No lift and narrow walkway and staircase, challenging for those with big luggages staying at the upper level. 3. Not exactly in the city, some walk is required but manageable in good weather.
Walking distance Oxford city centre. Own car park. Good breakfast, attentive staff.
Let down by poor quality room TV, it didn't work properly during our visit. No milk with in-room tea and coffee tray (but this was rectified for the second day of our stay).
Location. Short walk into Oxford. V handy. Breakfast brill. Good choice.well appointed room. Heating v. good. Parking a real bonus.
Shoe box - single room. Tiny place with no desk, hardly any room to move about - cramp. I never seen anything that small for a single room for that price... Overpriced, not fair. This sinle room no.7 should be priced for £25 not more. Otherwise it is a con.
very clean, friendly, delicious breakfast, good location,20 minutes walk to the city center, convienently.
access to the city breakfast calm
friendly welcome, room was clean and looked cosy on arrival, plenty of storage space (chest of drawers), ensuite was small but functional and clean, good, plentiful, tasty breakfast, nice lounge area with comfy sofas and information leaflets on Oxford to browse, friendly staff
The bed was a little hard but this is down to personal preferences.
Clean. Easy to walk to the center of Oxford and to public transport. Good English breakfast.
One day the housekeeping staff left the door of my room open (unlocked and few centimeters open). Scary. Noisy breakfast room; loud talking and laughing from the open door of the kitchen.
Walking distance to city centre. small shop close by. Room was warm and comfortable, Staff were there when you needed them, but other wise left us alone. A good breakfast with plenty of choice. I would recommend the hotel to others. The free parking was very handy also.
only had two days to spare.
Excellent staff, breakfast was great. Rooms clean and comfortable. Near bus stop.
Bit pricey, WiFi quality was poor.
First impressions- Friendly manageress- Good Breakfast -Comfortable room.
No hot water on the first night and morning due to a pilot light being blown out in the extension boiler
Location. Value for money. Breakfast. Free onsite secure parking.
Nothing, no complaints.
The hotel was just a short walk into the town centre. Breakfast was good, make sure you go down before 8.15 though as it gets busy. An adequate hotel though for a trip to Oxford. Everything was clean and functional. We had 2 rooms close to the entrance but the rooms had inner doors to ensure noise was reduced and we slept well.
Unfortunately we had come straight from 2 nights in possibly the best b&b ever in Bath for around the same price, so our first impressions were pretty depressing. The Falcon is a little impersonal, the furnishings are basic and a bit dated and the decor is a bit dark. Good for a base but wouldn't want to spend too long in the rooms. The place grew on us over the 2 nights we were there but was a bit like staying in student digs. Not bad but a bit disappointing.
The room was lovely. Breakfast was satisfactory
The cost was very high. £130 for a family room. I feel that was very expensive.
