Car parking at rear of building. Very friendly staff. Within walking distance to museums, gardens, shops and restaurants. If you choose not to walk, bus services are excellent. Very reasonably priced. Good breakfast.
Lack of wifi. No fault of The Falcon though.
I liked the friendly reception and helpfulness in booking a taxi.
The basin was a bit small in the bathroom.
Close to Town Centre
Staff was certainly polite, but quite cool and sometimes gave an impression that customers were bothering them. The room as such was fine, and so was breakfast.
Especially to be criticized was that the wifi didn't work at all, except for a few hours during the first day, and no one cared to inform guests that they were having this problem. On our third day, the day of departure, there was still no wifi. A place advertising free wifi must provide it, as travelers these days depend on it a lot for accessing information about the place of visit. At least they should have provided each room with a note informing guests of the problem they were having.
The location was good with the city centre an easy walk in good weather and many buses passing the door if the weather was bad. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was good. Our room overlooked a side street and was very quiet so we had a restful night's sleep.
The room was on the small side but we were out and about all the time so this was not a problem.
The staff is super efficient and kind. Checked in very late but no complaining at all. The room was heated up at a foolish temperature, probably suitable for women but not for me. Everything was super clean. Two pillows on the bed, never seen any so thick (maybe a bit thinner would have been better I guess). The breakfast is personally served from the staff, really good service.
The wifi wasn't working that night,
The room was a generous size and well presented.
Parking was an issue as it was a busy time. Would have been nice to be forewarned about this prior to arrival.
It is very close to the city centre and good service.
Small room is a bit small.
Lovely walk to city from here. Good breakfast and morning staff very pleasant. Parking a bonus but very right spaces.
Didn't like waiting outside for someone to open the buzzer door which we kept pressing on a very cold night and then when another guest kindly let us in as we were frozen being asked how we got in before a welcome greeting was given.
Plenty of hot water Easy check in and check out Free on site parking Easy walk to town Very quiet location, no road noise at night, we overlooked a quiet courtyard
Stained coffee/tea cups No fruit teas or peppermint, green, etc Plain biscuits in room No marmalade at our table, it was not good quality when we found some on another table The breakfast was not hot enough when it arrived and the toast was cold
Location, food (breakfast), tidy
close to town with good bus service free parking over 2 days good breakfast and nice dining area staff helpful house warm throughout -mmmmm!
tight en suite dark decor and lighting
Location and service was excellent, as good as a hotel. I haven't stayed in a B&B in a while so was a little apprehensive but staff, breakfast & cleanliness was really good. We even had free biscuits in the room, nice personal touch & we didn't feel like we were intruding on someone's home as it was set up very much like a hotel.
Room was great stayed for new year eve
It was much better value than staying in the centre of town and not too far to walk. Looked like there were lots of buses as well. If we had come by car it would have been good as there is free parking. Clean and reasonably comfortable. Good for a one night stay
Being asked to move table at breakfast. It is fair enough to ask couples not to sit at family tables when there are lots of families staying but a polite notice would be good so you don't settle down at one table and then have to move. Bed was a bit soft for me and room quite small had we been staying for more than one night but Oxford is expensive and this was much better value than other places in Oxford and it wasn't uncomfortable and we couldn't fault the cleanliness.
Proximity to colleges and town, parking, clean, friendly staff.
Comfortable room Clean environment Pleasant staff Good breakfast Parking just behind establishment
Location. 12 mins walk to central Oxford. Car parking. Nice, helpful staff. Nice cooked breakfast.
The walls and floors are a bit thin meaning I could hear noise upstairs and next door. Ear plugs would be a good idea.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location and quiet room. Close to the bus stop. Restaurants and town centre are within walking distance.
The lighting is a bit dim, and there is no chair to go with the desk.
Close to the city center.
Breakfast is not satisfactory.
Good location, friendly staff.comfortable room/bed.
very disappointing breakfast
Great breakfast and friendly staff
No bath but everything else was great
Room was adequate for our needs and town only a 15 minute walk away.
We never receved a warm welcome on arrival, at breakfast staff were not very friendly or helpful with ordering. The breakfast room would benefit from some background music especially around Christmas time
almost nothing clean
lack of space, room is very very small, in bath there are no facilities to leave stuff
I was sure what to expect, but I was very pleased with everything. The breakfast was memorable.
