Really friendly staff, very comfortable, clean and pleasant room - lovely hot bath water, really nice food and good value for money. I enjoyed my stay and will determinately stay again if I'm in the area.
Little bit of plastic rubbish in hotel car park. Would have like to have more environmentally acceptable milk container in the bedroom ie small jug real milk rather than wasteful plastic containers. Conditioner as well as shampoo in the bath room would be nice too.
Great food, very friendly and helpful staff
Evening meal for food and service and room
Breakfast was well cooked and nicely prepared but bland. Limited choice i.e. no muesli , black pudding, tomatoes , mushrooms granary bread.. Dislike tiny wrapped butter pats and tiny packs or marmalade and preserves. Could benefit from having buffet for cereals, toast, and beverages. Refill for coffee/ tea not offered - 1 cup and no pots.
Jade was a perfect host, nothing was a problem,A true professional
In the countryside yet not far from the motorway. Reasonably priced and varied menu of International and traditional English cuisine. Good selection of beers and wines. Owner very friendly and solicitous. Will go back.
The proprietor was very welcoming and attentive. The inn inside has preserved its old wooden beams and it is warm and cosy with lots of atmosphere. Our room was outside in an annex and was extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was good and the village itself is very pretty.
excellent room in a great setting great breakfast very good host and stff
loved it all
Nice atmosphere. It was very cool on a very hot day. Staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The evening meal was superb, unusual and plentiful. The rhubarb crumble with ice cream, and strawberries was one of the best pub puddings I've ever tasted. Breakfast was more modest but more than adequate. The room was comfortable and spacious. The whole place (the hotel, the pub, the village) was quiet although it was Friday night, and the sound of the M1 was barely audible. Cows were grazing in the sunset - idyllic! Very handy for E Midlands Airport / Donington Race Track and the F1 Museum.
We could have done with more versatile bedding - a heavy duvet on a hot day in June. Also one thin pillow each, though there was a spare in the wardrobe. The decor was 80s and tired; peeling dado level border, windows which needed replacing. Yet there was a charm about the room as it was. The staircase needed a good vacuuming - spiders in the corners of almost every step! Nothing that would stop us staying here again.
The accommodation was good.
The food was disappointing. We were rushed to order and then what we ordered was unavailable.
Nice quiet rooms in the courtyard.
Friendly atmosphere in pub
Room smelt of stale cigarette smoke
Very friendly staff, great food.
Privately run Hotel. The room was very comfortable and the staff very helpfull. Very good Wifi connection. The Menu and quality of the food in the Bar / Restraunt was excellent .
Location is great, staff are very friendly and food is good
I've stayed in the Falcon Inn on many occasions over the past 10 years and the decor is still the same. Rooms now look very tired and badly need updating.
