Did not like this place at all! Bar area was OK and food was passable. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere despite Glenfarg address. On noisy road, room/hotel much in need of refurbishment. Access to rooms with luggage is difficult. Many small details not working; had to change rooms due to noisy electronics (ventilation timers)

I loved relaxing on the comfy sofa's by the log fire, the friendliness of staff & locals, the excellent food & the free after dinner liquers. I also liked the location especially as its rural, but, only a short drive from Perth.

Large, spacious and comfortable room where temperature is easily controlled. Same for bathroom/ shower. Staff were extremely competent, friendly and helpful. Owner enjoys meeting his guests, creating, overall, a very relaxing atmosphere. Whilst in Room 1, experienced a continuous tapping noise like an open window or the like, which occurred all night.

Very friendly staff, good food and comfortable. Would have been nice to have bottled water available in the room and a curtain to block out the outside light in the chalet.

Had meals before in Hotel in the past, and a short stay for convenience, saving us time travelling from Arbroath to Leuchars. (family lives near by but no room to put us up for the night) Will still call in when we can for a meal. Very friendly, and value for money. Nothing bad about the hotel itself but the road outside is very busy at times and very fast. Saw aftermath of an accident while we were there. Luckly no one hurt. Nice location spoilt by speed freaks.

Loved the location on a bend of the road up through the woods and the sound from our very comfortable room of the River Farg. Immediately we entered the front door the interior decor and furnishings said 'Yes' to us. The reception we got despite our rather damp appearance having cycled all day was very friendly and we felt immediately welcome. The young woman on duty was not only friendly but delightfully frank and direct. Although there was no lock-up provided for our bicycles arrangements were made for them to be locked away in a storeroom. The evening bar menu was just right and the wine excellent. Very good experience for both my daughter and myself. . The only thing I felt was not quite up to scratch was the coffee at breakfast. It was rather weak..

Hotel staff were very welcoming / friendy and helpful, owner was also very friendly, pleasent and particular, he also made time to speak with his guests about their stay. Our room which was the luxury suite was very large and freshly decoraand with beutiful bathroom which included roll top bath which my wife fell in love with. Public toilet facillities were modern and clean, unlike a close by hotel we visited later that evening for a function. We had an early dinner before going onto an arranged function, which the hotel owner arranged his personal transport for my wife and friends. On our departure following morning the owner told us to take our time and didn't need to rush away. I stop out regular with my business and would have not reservations in recomending this hotel to friends or clients. May seem petty but couldn't open windows in our room as these were stuck with paint. My wife is a stickler for fresh air in our room. I must admit as the weather was quite warm this was a little uncomfortable. However small negative in the grand scheme of things.

Nice hotel on the countryside, but still quite easily accessible from main communication routes. Rooms were simple but clean, and the bistro served great food.
