It is in the country, it is high quality hospitality, it is family run, our two year old really enjoys his stay, and so do we. There is space and things to see, a good play area and farm animals.

The location(2miles from Martin Mere)was ideal. The setting(on a working farm)terrific. The staff so very friendly, warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The food...what can I say other than "a breakfast like no other" and all home or local produce. A massive thumbs-up and a huge well done to The Farm.....we WILL be back. If I was being picky I would say the floorboards squeaked a lot and maybe the bedroom doors/walls might not be as thick as we'd like so it can be a touch noisy. But as I say that would be a touch picky on my part.

Good home cooking using local produce, cater for vegetarians. Family run, relaxed and friendly atmosphere.Nothing too much trouble. Rooms very clean, warm with comfortable beds. Liked everything, but, from a womens point of view, just two comments - could have done with a full length mirror on wall in bedroom. Also suggest small bathroom unit for toiletries etc.

Staff were friendly Inadequate heating perticularly of bathroom which was unheated. General setting in a farm yard is not what one expects at £80/night in this area.

Even though the Farm was a working farm, the quiteness of the area was an enjoyable aspect of our stay. Having a car the distance from Burscough (about 10 min drive-depending which part you wanted to go to) was no problem. There is nothing which we didn't like about our stay.

Very good breakfast The advertisment gave a 4* rating. The bed was only 4ft 6ins for this rating I would expect at least king size but super king in reality.

While The Farm has a 4 Star rating it could noy compare with similar star rating with NITB. While the bed was comfortable there was not even a chair in the room. They do not have anywhere comfortable to sit and read.We had a 3 hour journey and there was nowhere to relax. We had journeyed from South Wales and stayed in Newport, then Malvern and The Farm was more expensive that The Hilton,Newport.

Set in a rural environment and part of a family run farm the location was idyllic. Accommodation was a converted barn which was modern and comfortable. The owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful (in terms of where to get an evening meal, nearby walks etc.) and The Farm is ideally located for Martin Mere (WWT), Mere Sands Woods and Southport and Blackpool. Squeaky floorboards in bedroom

Quiet location, nice room. Large room in room 3. Seperate entrance so your not disturbing the landlord. Nice food. All in all a very nice stay at the Farm No heated towel rail so wet towels do not dry.

An OK room in an OK place but neither appeared anything special. Bed was comfy and breakfast was good. This is a guest room on a working farm so expect a semi industrial setting rather than a rural idyll. Room was ok but nothing special - small TV and only a shower room not a bath room as advertised (no bath - it always annoys me when places do this) and the shower was incorrectly plumbed in so turning the dial produced cold water and to cold produced hot. Price was high for this standard and type of accommodation so I would not choose to stay again.

We missed breakfast but the manageress provided us with a sandwich before we left. The walls were very thin, we could hear everyone talking in their rooms around us, and most people were happy to slam doors and have no consideration of others. Perhaps a sign could prompt others to be mindful of sleeping / resting neighbours?
