We were attending a two day all day event near by so did not have a chance to spend a whole lot of time in the hotel. However the saff were friendly helpful and the room was very well presented and breakfast was of a high quality. The location in a very nice village was a bounus, I would use this again .

The food was very good and Yvonne the proprietor was very helpful with booking taxis and was very hospitable The hotel has had a problem with water leakage from somewhere as in our room the ceiling paper was coming away and spoilt what was otherwise a nicely decorated room. The room looked out onto the street looking directly into another properties bedroom so could have done with some screening at the window so we could open curtains without being looked over on

Nice comfy village hotel in beautiful Cheshire near the river. Entry to rooms through the front door which gives direct access to open plan bar and restaurant then up two storeys of steep narrow stairs so getting bags to the room was quite difficult. Double room was very narrow (less than 3m) though a full size photo mural on one wall gave feeling of openness.
