Nice spacious room very comfortable great location and tasty breakfast! Couldn't work out wifi but never mind who needs wifi on holiday anyway
After driving from Liverpool to Norwich for meetings with Greene king. I then drove down to the Botany Bay on the same day for meetings the following day at the new Hungry Horse project for Greene King. It was one of the best sleeps Ive had. The White Bait starter and Cod with chips where excellent as was the service from the staff. The view was amazing and the coastal walk. I will be returning when I address further GK meetings. Thanks to all at the BB, well done !!
My room was beautifuly decorated, stylish and huge! Very comfy bed and cosy pillow. A lovely selection of coffees, teas and shortbread in the room. Place spotlessly clean. Who ever does the housekeeping- deserves a pay rise! I booked a dinner for 9 people and the food was delicious and the waiter charming and impressed us with saying few words in foreign language. My partneres were French, I speak Polish and the waiter had few phrases in our languages! Very friendly atmosphere.
Not so friendly staff over breakfast. A waiteres spend all her time chatting to a couple, whom she must know. She devoted her entire time and attention to them, I felt like an intruder. Not warm welcoming to the breakfast room, not goodbye and thank you. Odd... I also ask the reception to book two rooms for my French partner the following Monday. The computer system was down but someone was going to e-mail me later that day. No one did... We booked a different hotel.
Location / design / relaxed atmosphere.
Flies- fruite flies everywhere!!

Décor, Staff, Room ,Cleanliness, attention to details. Location fabulous --45 minute stroll around beach to Broadstairs!
Nothing I didn't like !
Room - Staff - Breakfast
Bathroom as over kitchen so smell of cooking
I loved this hotel for many reasons - the food was great, the staff were very friendly and all areas were very clean.
There wasn't much I didn't like about this hotel. The only downside is the half hour walk into town but then that's always good exercise. Otherwise the location overlooking the sea is fantastic!
Food, beds and staff
Unable to access wifi, complete disaster, as needed for work!
Everything was fantastic from the start the location, the stunning views, the room, the food I mean everything.
Was cheaper to book via booking.com that at the desk
Excellent staff and top class customer service. Friendly and helpful welcome. Offer for help made to take up our bags which was politely declined. Offer of fresh milk for room gratefully accepted. I had the sea view double. Wonderful view and lovely, modern, comfortable and clean. Lovely hotel with nice bar and restaurant - you can tell it was refurbished not long ago as was fresh. Breakfast good quality and good range of options. I recommend the food and drinks in the bar. Would use again and would recommend.
Brought my own cot for my two year old as I thought the extra charge of £10 to borrow theirs was a bit mean when I spent £210 on the room and used the bar a lot to order drinks and meals. Lights outside our room by our window were bright at night and curtains were not enough to darken room. Blinds are needed. My sleep was disturbed on the first night as the room was too light. Was looking forward to using the free wifi but wasn't able to as signing up to the cloud or whoever they were using would mean that my personal details would be used by them, companies associated with them and selected third parties - there was no option to opt out from your details being shared and I don't fancy receiving junk mail etc. So that was a let down. Minor issue of flies in the bar when sitting down to eat meals and in the restaurant when having breakfast. Be good to have the option of room service.
great staff, excellent food, stunning location
beds bit hard
Good location, the staff were friendly and the food tasted good. I was concerned eating at the hotel at the food hygiene is a low score. 2 out of 5. But the quality of the food was good, I hope they have acted on the hygiene recommendations. Room was very comfortable, would def stay again.
I found the hotel to be too hot in the morning, esp. as it was a mild day and the heating was on. The bar was a bit pricey.
The bar food and breakfast were excellent
The quality of the bedroom furniture was extremely high; the general ambience was good and the location of the hotel was attactive.
The lack of a lift. I am disabled and mentioned this when booking relative to the parking of my car, which was satisfactory. BUT our bedroom was on the TOP FLOOR and the staircase was not easy to negotiate; the person taking the booking was not very bright!! Also the first night all the staircase lights went out when I was half way up to the bedroom! I complained strongly and for the rest of our stay the lights stayed on for a longer period.
room and facilities within were excellent staff were polite and helpful
no reception on mobile phone or internet was very frustrating. seemed to be local area problem rather than hotel's but if there on business it could be very problematic
Location, comfort and very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.
Everything about the hotel was just perfect considering going again.
I booked a superior family suite with fantastic sea views but was told because I booked with booking.com I couldn't be assured of this type of room. I was given a room with a small window and a very small sea view. Very disappointing.
Menu not entirely clear re ingredients for gluten free customers.
The location / views The high standard of cleanliness Comfortable bed The breakfast selection/options Good food Friendly staff / good service Large selection of beers available
The creaking floor boards in my room One broken window lock
