The location was good looking out to sea some rooms have balconies where it would be nice to sit on a pleasant evening As with many of this style of hotel they are in need of updating. The rooms while very adequate the bathrooms need work.

The bed was comfortable. The bath was large and comfortable. The bathroom was large. The suite was large. The breakfast was good. The staff at breakfast were friendly as were the bar staff. Good parking. The receptionist was not very helpful and we waited to be checked in for at least 5 minutes with staff ignoring us. The suite we stayed in had very limited views and at £165 a night we felt it was vastly overpriced. The furniture and décor was dated and needed some fixing. The website showed a room with window seat and sea views but this was not the case, we had velux windows set into the sloping ceilings. There were many, winding, stairs up to the suite partly without handrails.

The great service and attention to detail. Breakfast was excellent too. Comfy room, very clean. A quiet and georgeous beach a stones throw away. Further from broadstairs than I expected.

We had a lovely warm welcome, we wer'e given a beautiful room which had a nice view from one side of the room. We had to wait ages for the evening meal and again for the breakfast due to shortage of staff I believe. This really spoilt our overall opinion.

The place has a very local character. The staff is entirely local and untainted by cosmopolitan incompetence. And in the densely populated Kent coast this hotel miraculously manages to create a feeling of remoteness and escape. A large part of our sea view was usurped by the main entrance canopy and cars parked right below our window. It was not quite what we expected but perhaps the 'executive' component in the name of the room should have given us an early warning.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and the manager didn't mind coming out to let us into the hotel when we forgot our key late Saturday night. Nice location, plenty of parking etc. I didn't realise our room was above the kitchen so there was a smell of cooking and the fan made a continuous noise. Breakfast was nice but bacon very underdone and inedible. Compared to other hotels I've stayed in think it was slightly pricey for the room.

The hotel and staff were amazing. They are more like "family" and they are a dog friendly local, even having watering dishes about the property for all the four legged family members. The food was good, the rooms comfortable and the views were stunning of the ocean.

A bit of an old fashioned hotel with it's own identity and character. I was upgraded to a sea front room which was much appreciated. Room well equipped with generous supplies of tea and coffee etc. Staff friendly. Nice feel to the place, good walks and views. Badly needs a better chef. Plenty of food but unimaginatively cooked. Roast pork was bland and uninspiring, and roast potatoes hard. Other veg ok. Soup was supposed to be spring veg but was so heavily seasoned could only taste ?pepper ?cumin or some other spice. I sent it back and chef apparently agreed it was over seasoned. Other guests had had the same the previous day and said it was just the same which indicated it had been on the go for at least 2 days. A lady at breakfast sent her porridge back as under cooked. A group of friends who had stayed at the hotel a few years ago went out to eat. They said the food used to be very good but the standard had gone down and they didn't want to eat there. My cooked breakfast was very oily and egg still runny on top. A pity as apart from the food it is a very nice place to stay.

Staff really friendly, cheerful and helpful. Lovely location and no problem parking. Only slight criticism was food - it could have been slightly better cooked/seasoned but otherwise was nice and good quantity/value.

Great position on clifftop; friendly staff who went out of their way to be helpful; big popular friendly bar with good pub food; comfortable bed; lots of parking space; budget price Breakfast - food not hot and popular buffet items not replenished or replaced by the end of the breakfast time slot.

The view from the dining room. The room was a lovely size and the bed comfortable. The smell of the pub area. The noise of barker from nearby room. The alarm caused by steam (????!!!!) early in the morning. The noise made by the pipes even earlier in the morning. Greasy fried bread.
