We were staying in the area to attend a wedding at Eastnor Castle so the location was great. Liked everything about the Feathers interior design and ambience. Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast great.
Friendly helpful staff Quality of hotel
Price of breakfast!
Breakfast not included
Staff helpful. They carried our cases up the many stairs to our room.
A rabbit warren of corridors and stairs. No lift. Very expensive for a very average room. Shower leaked on floor.
The food in the restaurant. The friendly staff. The furnishings.Well stocked bar.Good atmosphere.Lovely old building
Cramped car park, very narrow entrance.lot of noise in front bedroom from the street.can not be helped.!
Liked the pool & breakfast
The dinner was poor & over priced
Lovely historic building. Room was comfortable and clean. Central location.
great period place.full off old fashioned charm and staff with old fashioned manners[not many places show you to your room anymore] nothing was to much trouble for them
The most beautiful 16th century building, with a fabulous location right in the heart of the ancient market town of Ledbury. I thought to myself ' how could it get better than this'. Well folks, it did. If friendly, efficient and highly professional staff, great location and excellent food weren't enough ... to top it all; after I'd left it too late to book a taxi and was preparing for a 3 mile slog to Eastnor castle for a wedding, the manager then offered to drive me there himself. Wow ! Thank you so much. It doesn't get better than that, anywhere.
There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this place at all.
Very expensive for a small room.
Staff were friendly. Room was clean.
It was a pleasant building with beams in the common areas (not in my room) and a good atmosphere. The furniture in the room was attractive shabby chic and all matched well albeit too much to fit into such a small room.
I booked a 'Superior' room but it was small and full of furniture. The wardrobe door would not keep shut and as it was in the narrow area leading to the door, and one bumped into it on leaving/entering the room. The shower was just a trickle as it seemed to be a hose attached to the taps and had no power. There was no view from the window as it looked out onto a brick wall overlooking the side drive up to the car park. The room was hot and there was only a small fan which had to be put onto a chair beside the bed to get any benefit. Despite paying the higher price for a 'superior' double room, I did feel that I had been given a poor deal.
Nice place with considerable character, and friendly staff.
The location. Attractive building from the outside.
We felt that The Feathers was overpriced. Our room was unexceptional, the bathroom was basic and there was a low beam awkwardly placed between the toilet and the washbasin. My husband cut his head on it. Breakfast was not included in the price we paid for the room. The receptionist said that breakfast was not included because we had booked with Booking.com. Apparently if we had booked direct with the hotel website we would have had breakfast included.
lovely old building great pool, water falls into it from jacuzzi so it's really warm! really helpful staff nice town, the Olive Tree restaurant down the road was really good
Staff were pleasant and hotel cosy
No minibar in room breakfast not included in price and very average
Olde world charm oozing out of everywhere...
That breakfast wasn't included if you book through one website and wa sif you booked through another...
Lovely hotel in old market town of Ledbury Dinner was absolutely excellent in the Fuggles restaurant Lovely outdoor seating area in walled garden to enjoy the summer sunshine
room very hot (no aircon) but it was one of the hottest night's of the year!
Excellent food. Atmospheric.
Incredible temperature in bedroom which required fan to be left running all night. Staff lack of awareness of package we had booked both upon arrival and upon payment when leaving (booked package inc breakfast and dinner but kept trying to charge us for both)
Genuine good old fashioned service and attention to detail. First class.
Narrow entrance to car park. Best to arrive in a horse drawn carriage!
Very professional friendly staff who knew my name. Good food (but pricey). Beautiful decor and building.
hot and airless in room. TV did not work - data would not load. Could not get access to any wifi network on my laptop. It is over my expenses budget so difficult if no wifi.
Historical nature of the hotel is impressive, it is currently being refurbished and the standard of rooms is very high. The local restaurants are of a very good standard.
Room was a little noisy due to the age of the building, floor boards can make quite a noise at early hours of the day. Quite expensive when you consider breakfast was extra.
luxury room was quite basic. to fit under shower, had to be under 5 foot 5- no good for tall people
Very nice, old hotel, in the heart of the town. Very pleasant staff especially night manager.
I like the service, the parking, the people.
always ask for a room at the back of the hotel as the front rooms are noisy from very early in the morning.
Loved the décor of the room
The shower in our room was pathetic! The power was so bad, we actually had to take it off the hook to cover ourselves with water. Not what you expect for £130. I also ran the bath and it took ages to fill less than half full! I did understand it was a room in the old quarter but surely this could be improved.
