bathroom was narrow, not very spacious
staff very good
A few too many winding stairs to the room but otherwise excellent all round.
The ability to be in the same place as the wedding celebration; courteous and helpful staff; food; pleasant room.
excellent service. staff made us feel very welcome. lovely room. food was excellent. would definitely recommend it and would stay there again.
Very happy and comfortable stay - can't wait to go back. And superb value.
I would have liked tea/coffee facilities in my room.
Stayed for two nights, very comfortable bed. Food lovely.Very close to Blenheim Palace- just around the corner actually.
Could not turn towel rail off in bathroom, even with door closed still very warm through the night. Also people upstairs very noisy floorboards squeaking like crazy
We both loved the size of the suite, very nice also a nice breakfast in the morning, would we stay again ? not sure
Parking can be a problem
Very clean and comfortable hotel with an excellent location in a lovely village setting.
Very friendly to couples but offhand to single traveller.
Food and kitchen staff - I'd highly recommend staying here but not so much eating here!
Hotel and rooms were lovely
No Wifi signal, no hot water, no cooked breakfast available on one morning, very small (superior double), no tea or coffee making facilities, no in room information. It seems the more you pay the less you get!
The evening meal was excellent.
The room was lovely, with super fluffy towels and bath robes and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. It would be lovely to go back when the weather is warmer to make use of the private courtyard.
The WIFI speed :(
The whole experience especially dinner was amazing. I loved the service staff and room. Oh the check out guy needs to smile a bit more (he may have been from management!!!!) departure 20 Jan 0830.
Paid £99 for the room incl breakfast, the latest rate seems to be around £299 which I would struggle to pay for. Wifi didn't work in the room but was fine in the main building
Room was really comfortable, clean and stylish. We are away from the main hotel at the back so it was really quiet. Didn't eat dinner there but had breakfast which was good with plenty of choice although the service was slow. Thing to note about the parking signs in the village is that they are no longer valid, so you can park anywhere for any length of time.
Room was directly above reception so noisy and could hear staff talking all night. Mattress was uncomfortable not good for my back.
Location good Breakfast good Good size room
Having to ask for tea and coffee - would have preferred it in the room. Bar prices but steep at £12 for a glass of wine.
Well decorated, clean and comfortable with good breakfast and the biggest range of gin ever seen in a bar!
No car parking on site. Narrow , winding staircase up to bedroom ( unsuitable for some guests )
NICE DECOR, LUXURY ENSUITE COMFORTABLE , QUIET BEDROOM
The fact that wifi did not work. Spent two days without any contact.
He room was beautiful but extremely expensive. The bar food was excellent and the warmth of the environment, log fires and decor were all very welcoming.
Sitting for a very long time without food
Standard of food was very disappointing. Breakfast bacon soggy, ?microwaved. Evening meal "institutional" rather than 4-star. Love the place and will return but not to dine.
Comfort, individuality, homeliness, convenience
Wonderful staff, excellent room (we were in Suite 3). The food is other-worldly - I have never eaten better in England. Very short walk to Blenhiem Palace, a spectacular visit. We plan to return for certain, and are recommending it to our friends who visit England.
Difficult to park near to the hotel
Character hotel, in a good position for touring Oxfordshire. The hotel food was excellent
A lovely quaint hotel in a good location. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to other travellers.
Downstairs not welcoming or comfortable in living room and bar area - receptions area and restaurant were nice though. Non existent wifi upstairs.
Cosy bedroom Very comfortable Friendly staff Great location Superb breakfast
