Staff were friendly,the location convenient for ferry port at scrabster. Restaurant had excellent evening meals, and a first class breakfast. room was very clean & comfortable and fresh with all amenities you'd expect TV, free wi-fi and tea/coffee making facilities and in our case en-suite.

The welcome we received from Sarah was a credit to both her and The Ferry Inn-thank you. The room was excellent and most comfortable. The location was ideal for our touring purpose. Popeye's was great for our Bar snack in the evening, where it was lovely to chat to the locals, and The Upper Deck was lovely for breakfast the next morning.

Really friendly staff. Food was good but beware, portion sizes were massive!! Room was stunning with great views of harbour. Bathroom and décor in room was very chic. Recommended!

Handy to Ferry

nice hotel overlooking the harbour, staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and the food was out of this world, will definitely return here for another stay

The staff at the Ferry Inn could not be more helpful. They accommodated our every request and made us feel very welcome on our trip. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and the view around the harbour is beautiful.

We had a very friendly welcome after such a long journey. The room was clean and fresh, even though it was raining the view from our window was lovely looking across the harbour (lovely).

Convenience of being able to get on the ferry crossing onto or back from the Orkney Islands. Friendly staff members, very helpful with our heavy luggage ! Nice biggish room (No 1) with a very comfortable large bed. Lovely harbour view through our window. Very good shower facility.

Would be perfect if there were a lift ! Shame that our train connections went wrong from Edinburgh / Haymarket, resulting in our arriving late, and missed their supposed-to-be-delicious food !

Handy for the ferry terminal

Location was key. Staff was friendly, dinner and breakfast set up with ferry schedule in mind. It worked perfectly. The restaurant was pleasant, the food good.

There's nothing to do there—but we knew that.

Since we took a late afternoon ferry from Orkney, we were looking for a hotel to spend the night right near the ferry terminal. The Ferry Hotel suited that purpose exactly. It was very convenient yet serviced us with a very nice room and excellent restaurant next door.

Easy to find, lots of parking, comfy rooms, & great meals.

Very clean and comfortable room with a fascinating view of a working harbour, good food menu.

The ferry Inn is situated in a small fishing port, the bedroom I had was a good size and overlooking the harbour, fantastic views, the bedroom and ensuite facilities were very clean and modern, bed not to soft slept well, cooked breakfast was above average, polite and helpful staff, good parking facilities, I only stayed for one night but would be more than happy to stay for a week or two. Not even one grumble from the wife, it's got to be good ! Definite value for money.

Everything was good, the staff were excellent,friendly, knowledgeable and attentive and the food in the upper deck was fantastic. The location was good for us as we were going to visit places in the area The room was lovely, very clean, we should have booked earlier and asked for a room that overlooked the harbour. we would definitely stay again

unfortunately we feel the public bar lets it down, we didn't feel comfortable, however it is a bar. Sports was on tv, and people were playing the juke box which meant it was trying to compete with the tv and the people playing pool. if you like a bar with lots going on you may enjoy this one we feel it would be better if there was a lounge to sit in
