The Feversham Arms open their new luxury spa, the Verbena Spa, on 13 October 2008.

The hotel's Verbena Spa is accessed over a glass link bridge from the Feversham Arms Hotel. If you are staying at The Feversham Arms you are welcome to use the spa heat experience and hot tub, at an additional cost.

You are also welcome to book treatments and day packages. If you book enough treatments, you can get the spa heat experience for free.

Food & beverage

The food at the Feversham Arms is deeply rooted in the landscape that surrounds the hotel. Game, shellfish, lamb, beef and farmhouse cheeses all feature and are prepared in a way that we like to call "real" food, made with the understanding that quality isn't always complicated.

Every room has a breakfast table and breakfast can be taken in your room from 07:30 to 11:00. Alternatively, you can enjoy breakfast in the conservatory from 07:30 to 09:30, Monday to Friday, and from 08:00 to 10:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Lunch is served in the Conservatory Restaurant from 12:00pm to 14:00, Monday to Saturday, and from 12:30 to 14:30 on Sundays. Throughout the summer, there is also a poolside lunch menu which is served on the poolside terrace.

Dinner offers a choice of 3 menus: the set menu; the à la carte menu; and the tasting menu. Dinner is served from 19:00 to 21:30 each evening.

Room information

Each of the stylish and elegant rooms is individually decorated with its own unique character and charm. The large, luxurious beds have Egyptian cotton sheets and soft and luxurious duck-down pillows and duvets, or sheets and blankets if you prefer. Every room has a Bang & Olufsen TV with an integrated DVD/CD player and there is a selection of DVDs and CDs in each room.

All rooms have a table for your room service breakfast, which comes at no extra charge. The rooms include magazines and a walk-about phone.

Each room has an en suite bathroom with speakers for background music; big, soft, towels; and luxurious toiletries and bathroom products from L'Occitane.

Helmsley is a small, pretty market town on the edge of The North York Moors National Park, easily reached from the A1M, A19, York, Leeds and Teesside.

You'll find an amazing array of things to do in the area, including walking, cycling and racing. Local attractions include stately homes and gardens, the natural splendours of The National Park, pretty villages like Whitby and Goathland, a Steam Railway, the historic city of York and great shopping.

By Car:
The hotel is less than half an hour by road from York, Harrogate and Teesside and about 45 minutes from Leeds.

By Train:
The nearest East Coast mainline railway station is York. Darlington is also within easy reach. Transfers from both stations can be arranged.

By Air:
Several international and domestic carriers fly into Durham Tees Valley Airport, which is the nearest airport to the hotel. The hotel is approximately 25 miles (40 km) from the airport. The hotel is approximately 37 miles (60 km) from Leeds Bradford International Airport. Transfers from both airports can be arranged.
