Hotel was generally clean and comfortable, nice location but quite noisy on road side. Food varied from delicious to distinctly average.
Don't stay in Room 1 next to Hotel Entrance, very noisy and smokers stand right by your window, cigarette butts around the door ruin the ambience.
Surrounding location, and excellent value for money
Strength of wifi seemed to fluctuate
Staff lovely, food and drink very good, room clean and comfortable
Only criticism is that it would benefit from a coat of paint/varnish as it was quite scruffy in places
my fiancé and I had a really amazing time staying at the fishermans cot . room was lovely . all staff were very friendly and helpful . Valentine's meal was fantastic and the breakfast . would defiantly stay there again and would defiantly recommend
Cannot find fault with The Fisherman's Cot; great location, wonderful room and superb food. Already plotting our return trip!!
Staff attentive, friendly, efficient. Rooms adequate size, spotlessly clean. Food and bar excellent. For a short break I can think of nowhere better.
I loved the individuality and comfort of the rooms. The setting is stunning and the food excellent
Squeaky front door outside our room and cigarette butts in the borders
The wonderful setting by the ancient bridge and the lovely River Exe.
bath mat in awful condition, cobwebs on ceiling and presence of smokers outside room chatting.so be careful not to book rooms outside main entrance (no 1-2).
Excellent service, great food, warm and friendly
FRIENDLY & EVERYTHING WORKED
Breakfast choice v.good.wide range of evening meals. Good size room complimentary bottled water and a stamped postcard ready to send.off in room. Staff v pleasant and jovial will stay again
Nothing to dislike!!
Very good reception. Very helpful. Sandwiches excellent. Very good breakfast.
The room felt very private.
main pub in need of a face lift.
People should be aware that there is no Vodafone or O2 coverage at the location
The location of the hotel, certainly for us a good place to stay. Very convenient to explore the surrounding area.
great sitting outside looking at bridge and river, staff really nice.stayed during minus temperatures(extra fan heater supplied)would imagine it even better in summer.
nothing comes to mind, never in habit of nitpicking.
Staff are all very nice; ask you about your wants and needs a lot. Rooms were comfortable, nice towels, clean, nice patio doors onto garden etc. Food in the restaurant was very nice-unique too. Breakfast was very tasty as it can be made however you want it. Toast was great! Really thick 'genuine'. Meal seems small if you have full english but by the end you're full. Not too many places to walk around but there's some ponds by the mill and some lanes around the castle up the road. However, once you get on the route to tiverton via a footpath, there are loads of places to go. Really great walk. Over all, a lovely stay.
No way to turn the heating down and it was too hot. Perhaps add hot chocolate to the tea and coffee selection and a few more milk pots.
Food and service and location.room was very neat and the bathroom was spot on with no problems.
Our room was far too hot and there wasn't any ventilation.
Wi-fi was great, watched Netflix for a few hours with no interruptions, friendly staff, great restaurant
Small smear on the wall but nothing that affected me too much.
Arrived late on Sunday night was met with a warm welcome management were extremely helpful, nothing was a problem, room was very clean Wifi worked well, all in all a very good stay for 4 days
The staff at Kingfisher's Cot are all friendly and very helpful. We wished we stayed 2 more days. Thank you Shaun, we will be back!
The character of the place, away from the hustle and bustle.
The bedroom wardrobe was not clean, in poor order not impressed, didn't use it for this reason also no hand soap in the dispensers.
The location was exceptional, with thundering water beside the hotel gardens. The staff were frierndly, extremely helpful and they were happy. It showed on their smiling faces.Staying there was a very enjoyable experience.
There wasn't a stool or a small table in the bathroom on which to put our toilet bags/clothes. Everything had to be placed on the floor. Also, for a twin room, only one chair.
