Polite and efficient welcome and Check in ..., well appointed rooms and excellent breakfast

No mention at check in that the air conditioning was not working in the hotel due to maintenance. The rooms were hot and stuffy and we woke with bad head aches. No complimentary water in the room, no bathrobes in the room. Poor for what is described as an "executive " room.

I use this hotel because I know it and it is very convenient for the bars etc in the city centre

I will not use this hotel for food or bar services. I found the staff on a couple of occasions to be surley and a little bit rude, so I take my 'quite substantial spend' to other places. There is one great Polish Bar Man that makes a great cocktail....so find him and use him if you want to use the hotel facilities. I however, vote with my feet and wallet if I'm not happy with service

The staff are fantastic at this hotel, incredibly professional and friendly. The breakfast and bar food are first class and not your typical fare. The rooms are comfortable. It's one of the very few hotels that I look forward to coming back to.

Great bar, we sampled a good few cocktails! Room and location were excellent. Service at the bar, reception and concierge was all first class.

The lighting really is a little dim

the decor was gorgeous, and the breakfast was delicious and the bathroom was pure luxury! The bed was huge... sooo comfy!

The room was very hot, even with the aircon on, we had dinner in the bar and the food wasnt great, wouldnt go back for a meal again, if we were going to stay again we would eat elsewhere, disappointed as it was quite expensive for just 1 night.

The customer service at the Fitzwilliam was outstanding...Each staff member we met was better than the last, they were superb, the best we have come across. Very funky hotel, comfortable, and the bar staff make amazing cocktails, very talented individuals indeed. Fantastic location, right in the centre of Belfast, with all amenities nearby.

Breakfast was a little scatty. Although we were greeted and seated, at which time our tea/coffee order was taken, but no sign of it coming, so ended up having to ask for it again on both mornings twice. Found the breakfast operation a little slow, although in saying that the staff were still very friendly.

It was very stylish and close to all amenities within Belfast, staff were lovely and breakfast was amazing. Ill defiantly be staying again.

The shower door would not close the steak at dinner was cold but minor fault would not make anything off them and will stay again

I didn't like how the concierge drove my car as he was taking it to park it he took off spinning an reving in it I would not do this to my own car so I do not like the fact that some one else feels the need to do so I don't think I should be spending lots of money on a car an lots of money for a night in te hotel for some one to treat my property like this I have sent a letter of complaint the the manager regarding this

Staff were really friendly. Stayed in a suite which was gorgeous. Loved the fact the floors were tiled in the room.

Wasn't offered milk with coffee at breakfast. Other than that small thing it was great.

Booking arrangement - we thought we paid for stay and breakfast. Confirmation showed £165 inc option for breakfast. Phoned Booking.com Thurs and confirmed. On check out found only accommodation paid - initially asked for £33 -then paid £25 showing booking confirmation print- out. A little embarrassing - checked card account on return home and only £140 taken with breakfast left out. Why is it arranged like this - I thought I'd paid for all and was ok with £165 as total

Very good location. Excellent staff and valet parking service.

Dirty bath water still in the tub upon arrival. Breakfast was poor, temperature was lukewarm at best and part of the order was missing. Dressing gown should be provided in the room without having to ring guest services for it. I would expect a whole lot better for a "5" star hotel! Would not stay here again if I return to Belfast, this hotel was not worth the price.

Very friendly and helpful staff central location comfortable and clean rooms

Very poorly lit - they need to employ a lighting engineer. As we got in the lift one couple said to us "Have you brought your torch?". WiFi was not readily accessible in our room. Only car parking is valet at £17 No gym.

Loved the super attention from the staff at the hotel. Nothing was a problem.

Had asked if it would be possible to have an early check in. My companion had travelled through the night and needed a rest. This wasn't possible and my friend was very tired all day.

Location excellent comfortable bed and decor of room was nice

Hotel looked quite shabby in places not befitting a four star hotel , went to bar in evening for cocktail four other people in the bar yet took over 15 mins to get our drinks carpets in bar were very grubby

All the staff we met were very helpful, courteous and above all friendly.
