Room was clean and comfortable. Good breakfast and bar service. pleasant and helpful staff. Good parking. Public areas were rather 'tired' and not very clean. Expensive for what it is.

Location. Friendly atmosphere and good staff. Lovely room with 4 poster bed and balcony. Well equipped: tea/coffee, TV, hair dryer etc. Evening dinner was excellent and breakfast in the private terrace area was very relaxing.

Beautiful building. Accessible location. Rooms decorated with individual pieces of furniture rather than mass produced. A little cold (I guess the widows cant be double glazed). Radiators were working well but as we visited in exceptionally cold snap, perhaps we were unlucky.

Everything was excellent. We were attending a family wedding at Waddesdon Manor and this location was ideal, as we could walk to and from the wedding. We had to leave very early the next morning and found it difficult to check out as there were no staff on duty. Had we read the notes in the room first, it would have helped! So our fault!!

The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. The food was amazing. The room was upgraded from our original booking, a lovely surprise. The building and grounds are beautiful - even in winter,so would be fantastic in summer. The mattress on the bed was very soft, so you tended to roll into the middle. BUT, it's a boutique hotel with real beds. So it's not even a dislike as such, as we prefer this sort of hotel and features.

a lovely old place, with historic connections to Waddesdon Manor too close to main road, which can be a bit noisy

What a gem, what a surpise, fantastic rooms, fantastic food. Its one of the best hotels I have stayed in this year, and I have stayed about a 100 nights. The rooms was lovely with a four poster very comfortable bed. The restaurant and wine list was out of this world. Definately recommend staying here. Nothing it is superb

I stayed at the 5 arrows for one night, staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and had been recently decorated as it smelt strongly of paint. Our room was very small and the bed was too soft, we decided not to dine in hotel after seeing the prices and went to a pub opposite called The Lion, the food there was fantastic. Breakfast was disappointing, there was 30 minutes left when we arrived for breakfast but there was little to choose from and whilst eating staff started clearing away so we could not have had any more even if we had liked. Not a bad place but I've stayed in much better for the same money.

It is located at the gates of the Waddesdon Manor (which is well worth a visit) and the Hotel is a good starting point. It is an attractive building with good parking. Nothing else really came up to our expectations. The Service was "mixed". Most of the staff were good but were let down by one individual who really is in the wrong job. It is a noisy hotel. Traffic noise at the front and noisy smokers/leavers at the rear. The dinner was only "fair" and over priced particularly when it is remembered that the facility is classed as a five star "Restaurant with Rooms." The breakfast was not up to expected standard.

Staff were very friendly and attentive. Dinner on was excellent. Our bedroom faced a busy road with heavy lorries and quite a lot of traffic all night. Also, I think our bedroom (No. 8) would have been very hot in the summer despite the hotel providing a fan.

Everything! I would rate it as the best hotel i have stayed in during my twelve days in England. the Staff are very professional and nice, nothing is too much trouble. It is a truly beautiful hotel and from a designers perspective, the very best. Right down to detail, Iron in Room ( always appreciated by the traveller), complimentary bootled os water in Room. Hand soap, shampoo and Conditioner in shower area, on tap! I love it and recommend it to anybody who wants a sophisticated, beautiful place to stay. the meals were top quality and very fresh.
