Parking could be an issue if the pub or restaurant were busy, as it's on road parking.
Really lovely apartment. Seperate bedroom, well equipt kitchen, big t.v, nice furnishing real home from home. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We ordered 2 gorgeous pizzas, a larger and the best glass of Rose wine I have ever tasted. There was a few small negatives; The noise from the road was very load and constant. The bed is very creaky and you can also hear the guests upstairs bed creaking (and anything else they do). However, I would deffinatley book again. We are planning another road trip to France next summer and will be booking into the 5 bells again before we catch our early morning ferry. Sorry for spelling and grammer and writting this home bound on the m25. I would deffinatley stay there again
Creaky beds and road noise.
Staff, efficiency. Reasonable price.
Room was a little small but sufficient for our needs.
Very friendly welcome, Lovely meal, Average prices, very accommodating.
No car park.
Spacious, clean accommodation. Staff were friendly and helpful. Perfectly located for our trip
Nothing to dislike
The apartment was good for a family to stay In
Location and facilities were excellent for getting an early ferry
location to ferry port style of rooms friendliness of staff value for money so good we will be staying here again
there was nothing not to like
Very friendly welcome.
There is nothing to dislike about the Five Bells!
The staff were exceptional, nothing was to much trouble. The restaurant food was superb, & very reasonably priced. The room we stayed in was lovely, clean & everything in there you could want, breakfast was superb, so much choice..I would highly recommend this hotel.
An excellent hotel right on the outskirts of Deal perfect for those who like the peace and quiet of the countryside rather than the Town
Paying my bill on Departure rather than at Check in as I had to revise my travel plans.
Great little pub run by a couple of really friendly, helpful blokes. Had a great meal with some nice cold beer. Room was lovely with a very comfortable bed. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay....thanks guys.
Location for visiting family Breakfast cafe excellent value with great choice of menu
No parking except on narrow road outside Bathroom fans in other rooms woke us up as very noisy.
Food was good, service was great.
The establishment is advertised as having parking, but this is not the case, we had to leave our car parked on the road, right by a busy junction. I felt this was misleading. We choose places to stay based on the availability of parking, so we will not choose the Five Bells again, purely on this basis.
there was nothing to dislike
the owners were very friendly, the food was excellent, the hotel was clean and tidy with a nice mix of modern and traditional features, the price excellent, a very nice place to stay
lack of parking
I liked it all.
Very friendly staff. Very comfortable rooms.
Rooms were very hot to sleep in - although it was also the hottest day of the year so hard to tell if the room was generally warm as well. Could perhaps include fans in the rooms if needed. Could use screens on the windows as there were a lot of spiders around and so didnt want to leave the window open all night.
Everything. There was nothing to dislike. The breakfast was amazing and excellent value for money. Staff were friendly and welcoming. What more could you want?
The staff was very friendly and attentive. The staff were exceptional and we felt like they treated us like family from the very minute we arrived. It was the perfect small town experience, one of the best we've had in England so far. They have done some really fantastic updating recently and the rooms are high quality. The town is adorable and we liked just walking through it. It's a great location for visiting Dover castle, much nicer than staying in dover itself. The place was a great value for the price. We would definitely go back and will be recommending it to any friends visiting the area.
Coming from New York and having visited other big and busy cities, we personally didn't mind sleeping with the noise from the pub below, but be prepared for it by bringing a white noise machine or ear plugs.
Very Well appointed room. Attentive andfriendly staff. Good food
Location on a busy main road makes it noisy.
The warmth and friendliness of the staff. Location near Dover Docks. Have stayed before and will again.
