lack of parking
lovely clean fresh room, gorgeous Full English breakfast. menu had a varied range on offer great value
We like staying in pubs with rooms..usually the menu satisfies what we want & you're staying there so you can drink without the worry of driving. Five Bells had great food, a lounge for pre-dinner drinks & got to chat with the locals. We were taking the ferry but preferred to stay out of the "Dover " city.
None..great food, hosts
On very busy road. No off road parking.
very friendly owners lovely food good location
very bright exit lights in the rooms
The beds were extremely comfortable ,all the staff were very friendly
Breakfast could better
The breakfasts and service was absolutely excellent.
Not keen on the parking arrangement.
Friendly staff and good service with nice breakfast well cooked and had tea poured all through breakfast
very pleasant people food was good great value for money rooms very clean
Parking takes a bit if effort, but we managed to get our Land Rover in a few minutes walk away and it was fine.
We got a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. The owners are really friendly. We had an excellent meal so have something to eat if you get the chance. We had to leave at 6am so they made that really easy too. I would definitely stay here again.
Nothing. It was excellent.
Location good value for money
Basic facilities, busy main road no parking and bit grubby
the staff were very helpfull. the food was good.
no car park. had to park on a very narrow road.
Parking could be an issue if the pub or restaurant were busy, as it's on road parking.
Location for the ferry from Dover. Size of the 'apartment'.
Level of noise from another room...could hear conversations clearly. Rudness of General Manager when I found a hair in my chicken towards the end of the meal. Quality of food. No people skills whatsoever from the General Manager, not a place to eat as he is totally unfair and unprofessional if you criticize in the slitest!!
Really lovely apartment. Seperate bedroom, well equipt kitchen, big t.v, nice furnishing real home from home. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We ordered 2 gorgeous pizzas, a larger and the best glass of Rose wine I have ever tasted. There was a few small negatives; The noise from the road was very load and constant. The bed is very creaky and you can also hear the guests upstairs bed creaking (and anything else they do). However, I would deffinatley book again. We are planning another road trip to France next summer and will be booking into the 5 bells again before we catch our early morning ferry. Sorry for spelling and grammer and writting this home bound on the m25. I would deffinatley stay there again
Creaky beds and road noise.
Staff, efficiency. Reasonable price.
Room was a little small but sufficient for our needs.
Very friendly welcome, Lovely meal, Average prices, very accommodating.
No car park.
comfortable bed,good food.
Breakfast menu too complicated. As I do not eat fried breakfast,a buffet table would have been nice. Fruit not offered.Too many unnecessary notices made place look cheap and tacky
Spacious, clean accommodation. Staff were friendly and helpful. Perfectly located for our trip
Nothing to dislike
The apartment was good for a family to stay In
Location and facilities were excellent for getting an early ferry
Very handy for the Port of Dover, very well equipped, friendly staff, self contained unit.
We were there on a very hot night, the upstairs bedroom was absolutely baking hot. There is a french door in the room but this had been left closed - had to sleep with it open but could not sleep due to the heat and traffic noise on busy road outside. Also does not have its own parking.
location to ferry port style of rooms friendliness of staff value for money so good we will be staying here again
there was nothing not to like
