The fold guest house is a lovely peaceful place. From the moment you arrive you are made welcome. The rooms are tidy and comfortable and the on suit is clean and modern. The cooked breakfast is very recommend and will keep you filled up for a long time, especially if you are going walking on any of the many walks. The guest house is in an ideal location for travelling around the area, being only 30minute drive from lake Windermere, we visited many places while we were in the area and the fold was the ideal base.
There was nothing we didnt like, no problems
Friendly staff Comfortable bed Clean Bathroom newly refurbished
Wifi wasn't free Breakfast - small portion, only white bread, no choice of egg (only fried), no beans. Small room
Slightly off the beaten track, but with good access to the southern Lake District. Sitting outside in the evening and I could only hear bees, birdsong and sheep! Very welcoming and friendly staff, good breakfast and a comfortable nights sleep in a very clean room. The King William pub (5 minutes walk away) serves a good range of food and their Rump steaks are excellent. It's well worth booking because it can get busy
Limited number of places to eat in the evening unless you drive out into the nearby towns and villages.
Friendliness of owners, neatness of establishment, good breakfast and comfortable accommodation, all round fair value for money.
The only negative aspect was probably the fact that a glass shelf had been placed directly over the basin which made it near impossible to brush the teeth or do the make-up!
Nice family run stop over facility. The actual room we had was a little small but otherwise everything excellent. Pub up the road was very convenient
The hosts were very good. Good postion for the south of the lakes for us. The birds in the gardens at breskfast. Close to the beach.

Lovely, friendly welcome from our hosts Kev and Rochelle, advised us on local walks and best places to eat. Charming, peaceful location. A beautiful and comfortable place to stay and we had a great weekend.
Very comfortable guesthouse, close enough to all of the Lake District as well as the coast.
A bit strict on when breakfast starts :), we didn't realize it was a mandatory start time.
everything, the hosts were marvellous, the room was so comfortable, the breakfast was great. wonderful B&B.
Phone call prior to our, stay to check special requests.
The setting and the people who ran it.
The peace and quiet.
Unfortunately too far from Barrow for me. It's a 45 minute journey along some very narrow country roads.
It was a jewel in the crown of the western lakes district, the decor was great and all the little finishing touches in the rooms beautifully done. Keven was a great host, very kind and helpful, great garden, I could not say more than it was a fantastic place to stay. We will recommend it to friends and family. sue Mc

There wasn't anything we disliked apart from the weather!

Kevin was a wonderful host! He had a wealth of knowledge about the area. This helped when planning a hike to Skafell Pike. Breakfast was excellent. We would highly recommend the Fold Guesthouse.
