On the banks of the Avon River, Old Mill Hotel & Lodge has lovely gardens and stunning views of the countryside surrounding Bath. It is on a site that housed a flour mill until 1907.

Husband and I stayed for two nights and loved it. Great breakfast, lovely room and nice pub. Bath is 8 minutes by bus and it stops outside - much cheaper than parking in the city centre!
Friendly staff. Cosy, comfortable b & b with good food. Very handy for Bath centre as bus stop right opposite. Would happily go back again
Bit noisy from other visitors whose bathroom was next door.
Breakfast although continental was lovely with a huge variety of fresh fruit fresh "homemade type" breads jams and crumpets a lot of thought had gone into the variety and presentation of what was available. Staff were very helpful and friendly and although we did not eat in the pub (except breakfast) the food looked very good
We arrived about 3pm on a damp cold day the heating was not on so the room was very cold and not very welcoming we almost changed accommodation a this point but decided to stick with it the staff were helpful and found us a fan heater once the room was warm it felt much more welcoming I would recommend that they make sure that the rooms are heated when guests arrive
Staff were so friendly and helpful, bedrooms were gorgeous and everything was provided! Breakfast choice was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them
No negative points at all
We enjoyed are stay our b and b owner was very helpful
Lovely room, delicious food, fab staff
Tricky car park but with bus stop just over road didn't really matter!
everything but location
location - needed to ride bus
We loved everything! The landlady was fantastic, so welcoming! The room was gorgeous with a big, soft bed! The hotel was wonderful.. we loved it!
Slightly old fashioned but rather quirky. Easy to get into Bath as bus stop opposite. Breakfast was good.
wifi password provided did not work
Beautifully restored traditonal English country style pub. Simple decor but tasteful and well looked after. Great service.
Its not a matter of not liking but we chose an "external" bathroom as was a bit cheaper. The door and bathroom was very close to another guest's room so we just had to be careful of not being noisy when using it at night.
really nice design all around the house~ and the breakfast is delicious!
Firstly, the staff went out of their way to be helpful and polite. The room was immaculate and really cosy - the complimentary hot drinks were very gratefully received after a cold day! The location is perfect - a walk from Bath but right next to a bus service which runs regularly and until the late evening. Overall, just what you need!
decor quiet helpful staff
walk to bathroom (although private) continental breakfast - This was very good and extensive, but when stopping in a English B & B i expect hot breakfasts to be available
- Amazing complimentary breakfast - Dinner and the bar area is comfortable and the food is fabulous - Rooms are gorgeously decorated and extremely comfortable - Hosts are generous and gracious (it was our honeymoon, so we were given some complimentary champagne when leaving).
Everything about this guest house charmed us - from its quirky decor, to the delicious food served in the pub below the B&B. It was very clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. We recommend this place to others and plan to re-book it when we return to Bath. It is a quick bus journey into the town centre and also close to the Park & Ride. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would give it an extra star if I could!
Friendliness and helpfulness of proprietor and staff
The friendly hostess and the well designed room makes our first B&B stay in Britain very cozy.
not in the walk distance to town center (considering the up and down roads along the mountain), but would be ok for driving.
The owner and staff were wonderful. There was a pub/restaurant on the premises which was very convenient. clean and quiet rooms.
We did have to get a bus into town but it was right across the street and ran frequently. Plus it only took 15 minutes so really was no problem.
very convenient with a bus stop right across the road and only a 10 minute bus ride into the city centre. First rate accommodation and service. Beautifully decorated and maintained - a very welcoming place. So glad we decided to dine there too, as the meal was first rate. We'll definitely return when we are next in Bath!
We were not told that there was a party in the bar that evening and that it would be closed. We had been thinking of eating in that night. We therefore eat in town and came back to a lot of loud music and couldn't get to sleep until gone 12. We should have been told.
We were made very welcome, the hotel was pleasant and interesting, lots of nice pictures and antiques. It was easy to get the bus to bath ( every half hour) better than driving in the small streets. Very convenient. Breakfast was lovely for continental, lots of healthy super foods.
We were surprised when we arrived on a Sunday, to find the place closed except for b&b. We ate elsewhere but would like the bar to be open for a nightcap.
I had a lovely, comfortable stay at the Forester and Flower. It was the best continental breakfast I've ever had. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pub has a unique quirky style in the rooms and downstairs in the pub itself which was great.
You could easily hear the guests in the rooms next to you and it's a shame it isn't in a more scenic location.
Very comfortable room, great people and lovely atmosphere in the downstairs pub space
You need a car, it's a bit out of town
The interior design of the place, breakfast was good, friendly and helpful staff. Though it's a pub below, we felt very safe and it doesn't disturb our stay
The bath tub was not attached to the wall, hence you may wet the floor if not careful.
