This was our second stay at the Fowey Hotel. Once again we experienced first class service and our room was extremely clean. The bar food is slightly expensive.

Fowey (out of season) is delightful and it is a pleasant short walk from the hotel to the middle of town where there are many excellent restaurants/bistros/cafes and good quality shops.Staff at the hotel were really helpful and breakfast was scrumptious - altogether a most enjoyable location for a Winter weekend break at a quality hotel . Parking or the lack of it !!

I cannot fault the Fowey Hotel. Staff were outstanding and hotel was very good value. Spectacular views from the dining area and lounges. Will definitely go back for a weekend stay. We did not eat dinner in the hotel as we found lovely restaurants in the little town so cannot comment on the dinner. However the breakfast, included in the rate, was very good.

The view from the hotel across to Polruan was gorgeous, we were only sorry we didn't get there earlier to take the ferry over but time didn't for it. I also liked the location which was very close to the centre of the town and only a short walk away

Positon and stunning views if you had the right rooms The price was for the views not the service - we had no tv or internet connection. Parking was a real problem. It is difficult and insufficent for the hotels needs. There was a public car park at £7,50 per 24hrs but it was a difficult uphill walk to it.

The Fowey Hotel, is a wonderful place to stay from entering the door on the first day all your needs are catered for in a very friendly and profesional manner. We have now stayed at the Hotel for 3 years running and intend to rretun again next year. We love it The room we stayed in was looking a bit tired it could do with a spruce up and also some of the wall paper around the hotel needs a bit of paste to seal it back as it is peeling, please dont let a lovely hotel go to ruin for the lack of a bit of care

We only stayed one night but were very impressed with the large comfortable room, nice large en-suite bathroom. The staff and the service they provided was excellent. Great location looking over the estuary. Parking is limited, so we parked at nearby public car park, but that wasn't a problem. For us, staying at a hotel as good and well run as the Fowey Hotel was a treat.

We immensely enjoyed our suite 102. The view and balcony, together with the room and facilities were unbeatable. The location of the hotel is excellent and we discovered that Fowey was the nicest town we visited in the area that offered the most attractive all round package. Ie: a nice swimming beach, castle ruins, a sheltered estuary for water sports, and of course a quaint little shopping and eating experience in the town itself. We stumbled upon The Fowey on the internet last minute and got a good rate and unexpected upgrade for a bit more. The woman on staff who suggested the upgrade (as we would have to move rooms half way through our stay in our original booking) is to be commended for solving our problem promptly and providing us with an affordable solution we were more than happy with. It was a lovely way to spend our 10th anniversary. We'll be back! Thank you

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in, in my lfe - and I have stayed in hundreds. The staff were lovely, the food was delicious and the rooms beautiful. I didn't want to leave. I only had a few days stay while my husband was working away. I'll bring him next time!

Love the location. Hated that the room had no air conditioning - had to borrow two fans as the room was very hot. No window in the bathroom made it worse.

Everything- Great view, great staff, great food, loved the lift Even though our room was downstairs we took a ride in the beautiful lift just for the hell of it!. Also great location While having dinner one eve - my birthday - we ordered a bottle of sparkling wine. As the restaurant mamager opened it the wine was very lively so it exploded all over the floor and the table next to us. About a quarter of a bottle lost. It would have been a nice gesture if we had been given a bit of a discount. No big deal but would have been nice.

Iloved the peace end quiet of the hotel, whilst admiring the veiw of the sea.The calmness that I felt, encouaged me to read my book. The staff on arrival were so polite and helpful, and everywhere was so clean and welcoming. Iwas disapointed with the service at breakfast, also the cuttlery and crockery was not clean.Food was not washed off them properly.

Superb location and friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast would be hard to improve on. Dinner in the hotel dining room has to be a 3 course affair and the menu was very good - but sometimes you want to dine there but not necessarily have 3 courses. Guests also need to watch the new computer billing system which automatically adds on some items you may not have had - our bill was significantly above what it should have been - though the staff sorted this out quickly, pleasantly and apologetically.
