Couple who run the pub are lovley very friendly and make you feel right at home, pub food was great too and great option of included continental or can buy cooked breakfast made to order which was delicious :-) Had a fabulous weekend in this cosy wee pub and just out of town enough for a relaxed quiet surrounding Highly recommended ++++
Great atmosphere, excellent food, polite competent staff, welcoming owners. accomodation was comfortable.
Food was really excellent
Needs new bedding and pillows
Fantastic community spirit, cannot recommend highly enough
Despite arriving for a one night stay when a large Halloween celebration for kids, teenagers and adults from the village was taking place, the staff did a great job of making us welcome and providing us with what we wanted. Option of continental breakfast in the room, with coffee an croissant / toast in the bar after! Visited a few years ago for good food and bar snacks
Lovely location, peaceful unit with on-site parking. Friendly staff. Menu was great except for Sunday evening.
No meal on Sunday evening.
dirty sheet, dirty carpet, old facilities, poor service, the strange noise of the current sound keep whole night with losing sleep absolutely, feel terrible...
Peaceful location and lovely staff.
No TV reception; TV only played radio, had to eat breakfast in the bedroom, no restaurant facility.
frendly people good service .Breakfast first day good .Breakfast second day not so good.Evening meal good
TV in room about the size of an I pad really old .No phone service in hotel.

Relaxed atmosphere and fine food and drink.
Excellent service....the staff were very helpful and exceeded expectation. Great food menu and good atmosphere in the pub,
Bit of a damp smell in the room (RosyBill).
made to feel very welcome food accomodation excellent staff very friendly will definately stay again
The location and the old historic building was fantastic. The management Sally n Alex and staff were very helpful and friendly. The pub food was ok.
The whole establishment is in great need of a make over looking very tired n sad! Hard of sleep of a night because of noise..
Friendliness and flexibility -
We liked everything. From the cute little rooms in the out houses. To the wonderful staff. Plus breakfast was great too.
Location Clean apartment Fresh (canned) drinks Every day clean towels Willing to help staff Playground for kids Parking space Enough pillows
Standard continental breakfast was poor. Bed almost fall apart (still comfortable though). Until 11 pm the noise of the adjacent pub, after 11 quiet.
Nice location 15 minute drive to centre of Winchester. Staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful.
Bedspread and towels were old and tatty looking. Bathroom didn't feel clean with broken and rusty hand wash dispenser.
Picture postcard setting Continental breakfast
No mobile or Tv reception No staff present to check us out or cook breakfast we left at 8.45am still awaiting receipt via email as arranged
Location - pretty village Attractive bar Staff
Room was spartan, ensuite was in very poor condition - broken, cracked and missing tiles, unclean walls and door, grout not cleaned off shower tiles, towels frayed and torn, flooring cracked, leak through ceiling unrepaired, breakfast inadequate .... Such a shame - it could be lovely.
Staff were friendly, easy parking, separate from pub
Mouldy dirty bathroom. Even our two year old son said the bathroom was smelly ! Room wasn't serviced after 1st night. Muffins and croissants was called Continental breakfast and was delivered to the room the night before. Beer garden/play area was dirty and unsafe lots of nails protruding from wooden fence an old hammer was just lying on the floor. TV and bedside lamp didn't work.
The pub staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was an unexpected bonus. The room was quite good but the en suite was tired.
A noisy fridge had my wife complaining about the 'air conditioning' that wasn't. A bonus free continental breakfast included muffins that were so burnt on top, you have to question what someone was thinking when they put them out.
Staff where very nice and welcoming. The food in restaurant was surprisingly good.... Better then we expected as the menu somewhat undersold the food.
Bit untidy and tired looking outside and sadly not spotlessly clean inside. The towels where threadbare and we had a very annoying dripping tap that kept us awake most of the night. Such a same because the staff food and building was lovely :-(
