Extremely clean, comfortable & fresh. Staff were amazing and couldn't do enough. Excellent furnishings. Pub Food was to very high standard

Nowhere to hang clothes. Shower thermostat didn't work and went from scalding to cold very quickly.

It had a very relaxed. Atmosphere, close to Banbury, nice local people

Overpriced linguine £11 pp and not enough food on the plate. When mentioned sympathies were expressed but no offer of more food or free dessert which would have been a nice gesture as we were still hungry...

Lovely village location. Food at the Fox was tasty & very reasonable. Staff were very welcoming & helpful. Continental breakfast was delivered to our room during the evening for the next morning & it was excellant. Our room was very nicely decorated & extremely clean.

A little difficult to find. The bed was only a double and we felt it to be a little small.

The Fox has the exterior charm of a Cotswold country pub in a quiet hamlet with the efficiency and comfort of a city hotel. We had a warm welcome and escorted to our room without waiting despite it being a busy Saturday evening. The four rooms are adjacent to the Fox in a converted stable/barn. It wasn't large but well designed, clean, warm and comfortable. Basket of toileteries, plenty of tea, coffee and sugar and what a joy real coffee! Didn't need my travel cafetiere. Plugs were at shoulder height by the mirror, excellent for hair drying. Could have done with a brighter light/magnifying mirror for make-up in the bathroom. We had reserved a table in the restaurant, the food and drinks were good and we were served quickly without feeling rushed. We found all the staff at the Fox friendly and capable. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend break and hope to return.

As everyone else seems to have mentioned - just the breakfast, but it was good quality and hygienically presented.

Lovely pub. Good food. Roaring fire. Nice rooms in separate converted barn. Would recommend.

Room a bit small. Unfortunately for us the beer was being delivered at 8 the next morning which was rather noisy.

Good location from j11 on m40, about 10mins drive. Lots of free parking off road. Rooms are lovely , comfy and warm, very quiet . The pub is on site for food and drink. We had a nice evening in the pub.which served real ale!Alternative stay to bland travel/premier lodges with no facilities. would stay here again.

The only thing we didnt like was the croissants in the breakfast hamper ( im just a toast person in the morning) and we didnt have enough milk in the flask for cereals and drinks. the host did get us some without any problem quickly though.

The rooms were very comfortable and liked the style. Really liked the pub too and the meal was lovely.

The staff were really nice and helpful. And that was just the start of it. Room itself was lovely. Gave you all you needed. Room was very clean, bathroom was lush walkin shower. Breakfast was served in basket to your door. With offers of a discount full breakie around corner if you prefered. Meal in the fox night before was really good home made. Tasted lovely. I'd go again for the food alone.

The greeting at the Fox was very friendly and helpful even though we arrived in the evening busy period. We loved the breakfast in a basket the next morning. It meant we didnt have to get up and go anywhere. Great idea !

This is the second time we have stayed at The Fox and We can not fault it on any account. Excellent.

Just a very pleasant place to stay- staff very friendly. Food in the pub excellent- the whole feel of the place was as if somebody had bothered.

The croissants in the breakfast basket tasted stale. Could have done with more hanging space.for clothes. but OK for a weekend /couple of days. Breakfasts would be boring (Breakfast hamper every day).

It was our 3rd stay at the Fox and once again it was great. Lovely food, friendly staff & cosy clean rooms plus a nice hamper breakfast.

Bed quite small

Comfortable room with good sized en-suite. Great restaurant.

Continental style breakfast was just cereal, fruit and croissants. The croissants were hard and not fresh.
