Great rural location. Great staff.Still clearly a proper inn for locals and guests alike. Pets are treated as guests as well with dog biscuits in the bar.Location although rural with great country walks on the doorstep also central for lots of intresting places only a short drive away. Fab!
Good size room and very clean. Nice good value "pub food" Excellent value b&b for the price. Been before and will definitely go again!
Loved staying at the Fox Inn as the location was fab, staff were excellent and it was a very relaxing place to spend the night and have a meal! xx
Staff friendly, food good.
Everything about this hotel was great. I couldn't fault them on anything. Great food, staff very helpful.just a great place to unwind after a long day of business travel. Can't wait to come again in the summer!
Friendly staff and good pub food so no need to venture out. Fabulous area for walking.
Decor rather tired in places but warm and comfortable.
Just had three nights at The Fox and from the moment we arrived we knew we had gone to the right place, a warm welcome and room upgrade was organised with the minimum of fuss. All the meals were good value for money and the Sunday Carvery was exceptional. A lot of the staff are young but what they lacked in experience they made up for with their willingness and pleasantness. We will certainly go there again when we're ready for a quiet away from it all weekend. Its the Landlords mission to make you feel right at home, Wonderful.
Friendly welcome and a very spacious room. Great food; Breakfast and Dinner were freshly prepared and plentiful.
Difficult to find the place in the dark ! - it's in a very rural area with a lack of helpful road signs. Thank goodness for Ordnance Survey maps !
Relaxing impulse night away. Will definitely stay here again,
No mobile signal with most providers and very limited wifi here, so be aware if you need to be 'easily contactable'.
The location, the gardens, the food and friendly staff where all excellent. The nearby farm shop is extremely handy for those little things people may need on a day to day basis. Enjoyed our stay.
We liked everything, the warm welcome,a large very clean and comfortable bedroom, great evening meal in this cosy pub . Plus an impressive breakfast to round off our stay. We intend returning soon!
Location is beautiful, ideal for walking etc and knowing you've got a nice comfy bed to come back to is a real bonus.
The bar didn't have any dark rum
Good rooms, good breakfast, dinner menu and food was ok,but no where else close to eat. Good hotel for one or two nights if eating in,would be bored with menu if staying longer.
There was a warm welcome from the morning I rang to confirm what time we were arriving to the day we sadly had to leave. We will be back to the Fox inn again.
Everything wad excellant.
Finding it could be interesting
Wifi provision non existent
Clean room, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. Would return to sample the menu.
The staff were very helpful and moved breakfast early so that we could meet an appointment we had that same day
We liked everything, all our needs were catered for
Make you feel very welcome and very relaxing atmosphere.
Ran out of bread and butter pudding. But the Apple sponge was delicious so they are forgiven
Very friendly staff who directed us over the phone, when we were uncertain of the route and checked several times later, that our room was warm enough. They wanted to please and we couldn't fault their approach.
We arrived at 2pm to a cold room. Apparently the heating comes on later. It was not welcoming on a dark and very wet day. Biscuit crumbs on the coffee tray. The coffee tray had to be lifted off a chest of drawers and used on the floor as no plug nearby. There were flies around the very ripe fruit on the breakfast table.
A great place to be "at home" our 3rd visit but it won't be our last
Having to leave
We wanted somewhere that was off the beaten track, and thats exactly what we got. Everyone was so friendly and helpful (we even joined the locals for a drink outside). We eat at the Inn for dinner, and the food is fantastic, If we are ever in the area again, we will certainly stay here again..
ummmm, now thats hard to answer!!!! My only comment would be, it was a tad expensive for a B&B. Maybe £10/15 per room cheaper would have been a better rate.
The staff did everything to make are stay a good one, plus the food was excellent.
Phone ignal was not the best
The refurbished bedrooms. The "game" dishes on the menu, a bit different from home.
Lack of restaurant facilities. Pie night, lacked seasoning and too big!
