We had a lovely time at the gallery guest house , we would defiantly stay again. Nothing was too much trouble for ray anything we needed or asked for it was given. My daughter didn't want to come home , she wanted to stay and have lovely cooked breakfasts at the gallery forever.

We stayed here whilst at a wedding in the area, the staff were very friendly and the room and breakfast were excellent value for money. The four poster bed was like a giant cloud to sleep in, had a lovely night in a beautiful little village.

The manager was fantastic! Couldn't do enough to accommodate us and our very early start! We'll stay every year now! Perfect! Clean! Historic! Wonderful! The shower a little weak, but unimportant.

we stayed here because we went to a wedding up the road. Staff were very nice friendly & didn't mind us asking for lots of tea!! Beds were very comfortable. Booked us a taxi very kindly & gave us a lovely good bye. Thank you. Recommend it. Not en suit which was difficult when you'd gone over on ankle & was hobbling to get to bathroom, but the bathrooms were to a high standard.

Friendly samily run hotel Ray and Family couldn't do enough to help me out. Despite what the website says they do have WiFi and there is ample parking around and about on the roads and a huge carpark within a minutes walk. The Hotel is convieniently placed within minutes of the town centre with all local amenities and close to the Railway Station though I didn't hear any trains despite my room being at the back of the hotel. Warm hotel and warm rooms with a lovely spacious lounge area and breakfast room. The Building itself is obviously an historical one once you get inside it despite it's facade which must have been modified at sometime probably in the Georgian period. Excellent well cooked breakfast with plenty of coffee available. I hope to stay there again if/when I am in the area. Highly Recommended. A little difficult to find on a Cold Winters night in a Town that you don't know. Look for the Railway Station.

No fuss. Given key given brief instructions on room and breakfast and left to get on with it. Breakfast again was good and served without fuss. Right in middle of town so easy access to a local bar/restaurant. Good as an economic no nonsense overnight stay. Ensuite was shared with adjoining bedroom. Possibility of clashing with someone in narrow corridor ready to use bathroom was a little strange. Very old building with sloping floors...very rustic but not brilliant when bed is on a slant. Parking cold be a problem on a busy night as in middle of town.

This is a very friendly guest house located close to the railway station and local amenities. The room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable and although it wasn't en-suite it shared a toilet, bathroom and shower room with just one other room so wasn't a problem. I would recommend the gallery and would stay again if in the area. No mirror in the room and as the room was not en-suite had to use the bathroom down the corridor.

Our stay was thoroughly pleasant. Ray couldn't do enough for us and was very accommodating. He also provided us with useful information regarding travel etc. Our room was spotless as was the rest of the guest house. The fact that the Gallery is an old coach inn gives it a lot of character. I would definately recommend a stay here as it is very friendly and clean. The location is brilliant if you are visiting Cosford (which we were) as it is only a couple of minutes from the train station and the Gallery happens to be a stones throw away from the train station itself. We came across the Gallery by chance and we are so very glad we did.

Historical interest of Guest House and town of Shifnal. Attended family wedding in Ryton - only ten minute drive from Shifnal. Owner and staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Food was appetising and well cooked. Would certainly stay there again if we are in the area.

Kind attentive owners. Full of the quirks associated with old buildings, but sympathetically done rooms fit well and are comfortable. Only down side is the difficulty of parking nearby. Generally though parking can be found fairly close out of business hours.
