Serving food and real ales, this family-run inn is located in the historic Kilmartin Glen.

This romantic 3-star country house hotel has amazing sea views from each bedroom.
Score from 88 reviews Very good
No view of loch from pub where you ate the dinner. Service was just one bar attendant for everything. Noisy place for dinner. Generally souless place
Friendly staff, excellent and quiet location with outstanding views of the loch. Well appointed bedrooms. The old part of the inn is full of character.
The food, although good, is expensive for what it is. This comment also applies to drink. The large, and very modern dining room is completely out of character with the rest of the Inn. During our stay very few people ate there, preferring to use one of the two bars.
As we were exploring the west of Scotland it was a perfect location on our way through to some other areas.
Beautiful setting, very clean and comfortable room (we stayed in Iona). Very friendly & helpful staff, excellent food, beautiful dining room over looking the water. I can imagine that in the summer it would be nice to sit outside & soak up the view. Very good value for the price. Will definitely visit again.
Loved the location and the stunning view from the hotel. Lovely small friendly hotel with only 6 rooms. Restaurant served excellent food and the pub was great for a drink with the locals.
We were on a short break and stayed overnight, just wish I had found this hotel before. We arrived late and chef stayed late to cook us an excellent meal. Staff helpful, meals superb and not expensive, room exactly as stated and spotless, local area spectacular and would love to stay again.
Lounge, restaurant, views, bar, food especially breakfasts. Friendly efficient staff. Corner bath
cant think of anything
Tasty food, great location, free parking, friendly staff and clean rooms
Nothing - all good
Loved the room decor, electric blankets, good food and the fact that it is dog friendly.
10 am check out. Used to 11 in other hotels.
Good draught beer, good wine list, excellent whitebait salad and 11/2 kg of lovely mussels and everyone else enjoyed their food. The owner came to out table and was friendly, chatty and helpful. Its a wonderful setting and I would recommend staying to everyone
The almost empty enormous restaurant was a strange experience, but the food was very good.
Fantastic staff, very helpful, food was amazing, location amazing.
slight negative in that the en suite only had a shower, would have really liked a bath!
Food was excellant, good value and to be honest a suprise as we had expected more pub grub than haute cuisine. Breakfast was one of the best we've had.
Reception lobby is very dark and slightly off putting when you first arrive, but rooms and everywherelse great.
Nice and clean room. Fantastic staff, I arrived very early and the reception lady made sure that my room got cleaned first.
Great view from the restaurant, great menu.
Views, Food, Staff
A lovely little country inn in a fabulous location right on the shore of the Loch. Great food in the restaurant overlooking the Loch itself. Lively, friendly public bar. Good staff, very welcoming - especially the two girls originating from Hartlepool.
Not a lot.
We loved the views from outside or window .
The food and view from the restaurant was very good.
There was no chair in the bedroom , so we had to sit on the bed to read . The heating didn't appear to be available . The reception area was very dark and not very welcoming .
Nice location lovely views over the loch friendly staff
Poor check in and check out we couldn't find anyone for both for ages, not what you would expect! Poor sound proofing between rooms, we were kept awake all night by someone snoring, plaster board partitions must be very thin with no sound proofing. Our room was very small with an uncomfortable small double bed, no running hot water in our room at the sink, shower fine.Poor bathroom toiletries, no shower cap provided. Uncomfortable electric blanket in the bed which we had to remove, you could feel the wires, why in July? Breakfast served in the dingy bar surrounded by whisky boxes instead of the dining room overlooking the sea which would have been so much nicer! Went having seen high scored reviews which can only be because of location or friends submitting reviews! We expected it to be so much nicer.
Friendly staff, terrific scenery, hotel in a nice quiet location, hearty breakfast and excellent dinners.
location & service Exellent
What's not to like. The personal service and attention to detail given by staff and owner was exceptional. In particular Andrew, the owner, made an effort to visit each guest whilst they were dining, and spent time chatting - as opposed to the cursory ' is everything OK' that you get at most other establishments. The view from the dining room was stunning, and the menu was not extensive the food was beautifully cooked and presented. Think 'fine dining' without the 'high end' restaurant prices.
Bed was uncomfortable needs a new mattress
