Comfortable Good food Good value Handy location for coastal resorts
Our room was too hot although we were able to adjust this setting to our liking
The evening meal was very tasty.
Friendly, accommodating staff, good food, comfy bed and ideal if you are visiting Ganton Golf Club whcih is only 200m away.
Friendly efficient staff Comfortable room Good food Convenient location - next to main road, but not too noisy
Damp smell on entering the room - possibly related to ineffective air extraction in the en-suite bathroom WiFi signal weak to non-existant
Staff went out of the way to be helpful Rooms were good & in an annex across the yard from the pub Bar, we were late arriving in the evening but we still got a drink Breakfast was in pleasant surroundings. We wanted an earlier breakfast than normal but that was no problem. We placed our order the night before & a full English was ready for us at the earlier time we wanted. Top marks for service
the evening meal and the breakfast was nice.
The room smelt damp, the bathroom needed a deep clean. The tiles were dirty and the whole room was very dated. You could not have the window open because the noise from the road was too loud. The sheet came away from the matress to reveal a stained and matked matress.
Great food. Comfy bed. Friendly staff
Hotel was on the route, which is important when doing a long distance walk.
We chose this hotel for the value for money and for the location. We visited Robin Holds Bay, Filey and Flamingoland from here. The family room was large and clean. The break fast was perfect! What else do we need!
The way that the staff welcomed us and the general appearance of the hotel. The restaurant food was spot on, breakfast was just as we like it.
Everything was fine but two chairs in the room would be good (only one provide together with a stool.)
Hospitality and food as usual, very good
Drew the short straw and had a terrible single bed in room 7 !! Would rather pay more for an upgrade next time
The food was really top standard. Freshly cooked and beautifully presented. Also, Hot, which you can't always rely on.
We would definitely stay again if in the area. Only downside was that the beds in our room were in need of replacement, or at least a mattress topper.
Great food and beer Lovely welcome and service Annex bedrooms
Hairdryer in bathroom
Food and service was very good
Noise from the road in suite number 17. Window let in lots of artificial light at night.
Large room Comfort Excellent food Excellent service Good atmosphere Close to Ganton Golf Club
It is next for to Ganton Golf club and the fellow guests were all playing in a competition there is we had a good 'crack' in a great b&b.
The fog the following morning .... Nothing to do with the Greyhound!
Staff pleasant and helpful Food very good Breakfast first rate
Our room was over the so it did tend to be noisy, saying that the bar closed promptly at 11pm so overall it wasn't a problem. But if you do need an early night you want to be sleeping in that room
great location for our purpose
Most was good.
The bathroom could do with an update and the quilt was a bit small for an adult on the single bed.
food good polite and friendly staff value for money
room 4 uncomfortable ie uneven bed a lot of noise from next room en suite , water pressure reducing valves need to be fitted got woke up every time some one flushed toilet
Size of room and overall value for money
Room clean and comfortable and with an excellent breakfast included represents very good value for money. The staff are polite and attentive. The restaurant menu is not extensive, but the food is of very good quality and portions are generous. All in all, an enjoyable experience.
The Greyhound faces a busy main road and unfortunately there is heavy traffic, even in the early hours. However, the constant background noise isn't totally unbearable and our ability to sleep wasn't ruined.
Price of room and breakfast reasonable and food was well cooked. Inn in good position for touring coast etc but a little noisy on main road.
Menu choice poor and overpriced. Not an a la carte menu. Room fairly clean but a little shabby. Bathroom certainly needs attention.
Each member of staff was polite, helpful and understanding, we needed to stay in the area as my Dad had been taken ill on holiday and we werent sure how long he would be in hospital and we didnt know how long we would need the room for. The staff re-arranged rooms so that we could stay in the room we had booked when we first contacted them. I cant thank them enough. The rooms were huge, the cleanliness was superb and the sofa and chair were ideal for my self and my elderly Mum. The breakfasts were lovely, everything we could possibly want, well cooked and brilliant service.
The bathroom was a good size and the only thing against it was it needed updating and a shower on its own would have been better for us as we both have mobility issues.
