Nice location Staff helpful & pleasant Plenty of room. Food good, but breakfast could have bean warmer. Storage for clothes.
Needs refurbishment Rooms not the most comfortable Menu OK, but not particularly to our taste.
Food was good Setting good Nice frontage with lovely flowers and garden areas Pleased to learn it is under new management and upgrading is in progress
Very dated and tired room Shabby bathroom
Nice spacious room with a big comfy bed and clean crisp linen. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was nice. Good value for money.
There were a few broken tiles on the bathroom floor which were a little sharp.
Location to town was 5min walk. The staff were helpful. Good parking available and lovely gardens surrounding the hotel.
The gardens - Must see! Comfortable beds Friendly service Great location
under refurb - slight paint smell
This place is beautiful the room we stayed in was big and the meals were very nice we would have stayed longer.
Location of the hotel was excellent for all amenities within Gretna and wedding venues.
The hotel is in desperate need of a complete refurbishment. The decor and fixtures and fittings are very dated and tired looking. The interior of the hotel is very large and open plan and could benefit from a new floor plan. It needs too feel more homely and therefore comfortable.
good price, great location, food reasonably good (not a great choice),though the breakfast was very good
Needs a bit of TLC,foyer/lounge carpet needs renewing and bathroom needs re-grouting and sealing
The location is excellent, breakfast was lovely, nice coffee, a good start to the day. The lobby has great views and is very spacious.
The room was poorly kept, the beds were not very comfy. The staff were very slow and the bar had a nasty stale ale smell.
Room layout very good Food very good Comfort very good

Nice and relaxed place to stay
Needs a little up dating

Needs an update with the decor
Decor and bed linen
The fact workmen in the hotel paint sheets noise etc
The customer service. Bar prices. Ample parking.
The place was a little tired. Menu and food need a bit of improvement.
Decent breakfast, clean room
The hotel rooms were very big. Even had a jacuzzi bath, which was nice. Staff were helpful and pleasant.
The hotel is a little tired looking. the restaurant and bar area could do with a few partitions it break it up a little.
Big open plan restaurant / lounge
Rooms really dated..bathrooms need updating...would be a beautiful hotel with some money spent on it..
Really friendly and helpful staff Lots of hot water all the time Clean bedlinen and towels Good breakfast buffet Quiet sleeping environment
Bathroom grout required attention External courtyard full of weeds
Quiet location, near retail outlet centre. Unusual, but pleasant and spacious room. Good value for money.
Everything else.. advertised as good honest food, I paid £8.50 for cheap microwave spag Bol, Bed was like a marshmallow, carpet was filthy got 2 bites on my ankle. Asked for quiet room and got put next to the stairs, so had people going up and down all night.
location and gardens
good location for any wedding in Gretna..the outlet centre is within walking distance as is a nice pub/restuarant The Gretna Inn for food if you fancy a venture out. The rooms were large and the bed comfy, but we were facing a small courtyard which was uninspiring...gave me a hemmed in feel as the walls were quite high. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast adequate. It did take a time for things to be replenished, like milk for cereals and bacon but a wait for eggs...but on the whole a nice stay
the rooms felt as though they were just a stop over, and the bathrooms need a revamp as ours had lots of mould on the bath edge and the bath panel. Outlook from our room 32 bleak
