Very friendly staff, great food at very reasonable prices. The beds were very comfortable. A great stop before taking the ferry. Good value for money. Bathroom was fine in general, but was a bit smelly. Suggest to change the linoleum to tiles, so it can be properly cleaned.

Ideal location, very freindly staff. The bar and resterant were very nice. We find it very hard to find Hotels of this standard thet will accept a dog, it was nice not to have to worry about our pet. The rooms were spotless and the grounds of the hotel were very well kept and a pleasure to walk around. We will be visiting again and would highly recommend.

A great family-friendly hotel in a lovely area. The staff were helpful and attentive without being overbearing The room was very comfortable - a real haven. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent value and offered plenty of dishes using special local ingredients. The bar area is relaxed and comfortable, with a woodburning stove and comfortable seats, and relaxed but stylish decoration. A great find!

The relaxed atmosphere and friendliness of the staff It was not clear on the booking that the breakfast was continental and you had to pay for a cooked breakfast. However the continental selection was excellent

My husband and I booked this hotel for a peaceful break, close to the sea. We were politely welcomed and the staff offered us an upgrade. When we were shown to our room ,we were really pleased and settlted straight away. The hotel offered everything we needed. The staff were polite and friendly. The room was clean with more than enough storage for our clothes. The restaurant was well laid out and the food was good. Overall we had a great time staying at The White Cliffs Hotel and being close enough to enjoy the beach and the white cliffs of Dover. We recommend The White Cliffs Hotel and will be staying there again next time we go to Dover.

Nice quiet hotel in semi-rural area. Excellent restaurant. Because the restaurant sign is more prominent I couldn't find the hotel at first.. Perhaps just me, but a bigger sign might be helpful.

Staff was first rate - friendly and eager to explain or help on any requests. Location provides easy access to Dover within a few minutes. There is a sister hotel not too far away that has a spa/gym that guests can use. We didn't have time to use, so cannot comment further, although the point is that there should not a charge to use it at these prices. Wi-fi weak in our room so had to go to lobby to use laptop. I think hotel was overpriced, although hotels/BBs tend to be overpriced in and around Dover from what I can tell. Parking lot in rear has a huge hole in the entry area and you had best be careful, as you may wrench out or damage your vehicle's undercarriage/suspension. The passage way at the rear of the garden to the parking lot requires the guest to walk past a disgraceful display of detritus and smelly rubbish bins. This area spoils the overall impression of an otherwise charming and intimate small hotel. Management needs to devote some time to cleaning this area up and put on their thinking caps to dress up the appearance.

We arrived very late and instructions were left on the door as the receptionist had said over the phone earlier in the evening. It was great finding a hotel so close to Dover that accepted dogs. We will definately be using this hotel in the future.

Upon arrival in Dover, it took only 10 minutes to get to the hotel. The atmosphere was so pleasant and relaxing, that we spent several hours sitting in the garden of the hotel, enjoying a bottle of chilled white wine and a plate of mussels. This was heavenly!

The hotel was in a good location for what we wanted to do, such as Dover Castle and the white cliffs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of free parking. Our room was quite small and the bed was very uncomfortable.

Nice place, good location but make extra sure you get the room you have booked as we ended up in a much smaller room than what we expected and for the price we were paying that was not at all good value. My friend came one day after and got a much bigger room for £30 less. Luck is the reason they gave me when I asked. At the end they made up offering us a nice, big room for the second night. Nevertheless, if you ask me, I do plan my holidays in advance so that I do not have this "lucky surprises"! Food and breakfast was very nice
