Debbie and her family were very welcoming, thoughtful and helpful. The Lodge was very comfortable and clean in a beautiful garden. There was a generous breakfast package in the kitchen on our arrival.

Nothing. We would definitely go back when next over that way.

What can I say... What an excellent service myself and my wife were given the warmest if welcomes on arrival, the room was as stated excellently maintained the cleanliness was second to none...!! Every little detail was covered by the owner Debbie, what a considerate lady she really is. She left a welcome pack covering everything from things to do to place to eat. I would definitely rate the garden lodges and very highly indeed and will definitely be going back to visit in the future...!! 100% ..!! Thanks Debbie and the garden lodges for a very relaxing stay even on such a short trip, see you again soon and again thank you ...!!

Self contained with no access restrictions. Basic comfort with nice electric shower, tea & coffee & breakfast facilities (& cooking if needed). Nice quiet location in long back garden.

Bed a little hard. But some might prefer that.

This was one of the quietest places I have ever stayed...my wife said she had the best nights sleep in ages! It was nice to have a self-contained unit so we could eat when we liked. The local village had some lovely restaurants.

    I can't think of anything I didn't like.

Excellent value for money. The owner Debbie was extremely helpful and accommodating. The Lodge provided a wonderful base for the area. The fully equipped kitchen, and basic provision provided on arrival (topped up as necessary) allowed us to have a leisurely breakfast when we wanted. Very Clean, Good heating and hot water.

Hard to find any faults but if you had to:-, wifi did not reach to all the bedroom but was ok everywhere else, no TV in the bedroom only the lounge, Shower was very good, but a more powerful one would have been nice. A bit of updating and one would be happy to pay much more for the extra comforts such as bigger TV and softer carpets etc.

For me it was a place to stay on our own without others to worry about, not having to get to breakfast on time, or in a time period, we could cook our own meals if we wanted all in all a pleasant place to stay and also the garden would look really nice in the summer too

The only thing that I found to dislike on this break was the time of year that we went but we was lucky there too as it was sunny for the few days that we stayed

This was our second stay and we stayed for 5 nights. The welcome breakfast pack was excellent and we self-catered for the duration of our stay. The lodge was extremely comfortable and we slept really well because it is so quiet and the bed very comfy. It's a perfect location for exploring both Essex and Suffolk. We are already planning our next stay as we still have a few more nature reserves and other places of interest to visit. The Lodge really is a home-from-home, and would certainly be the sort of home in which we would like to live in the future.

Only two extremely minor niggles...the fridge does not have a freezer compartment and the bathroom is a bit on the chilly side.

Great setting and location. It was just like being at home. Accommodation was very well equipped and very clean. Spacious rooms and able to eat outside was a great benefit. Easily recommended to stay here for family or couples.

    Wifi was weak....

The lodge was well equipped, clean, comfortable, bright and roomy. The breakfast items left for us was more than enough for our length of stay (2 nights). The family of The Lodges was very friendly, helpful and approachable, but at the same time, we were left alone to do our own thing and had the privacy we wanted. We would definately stay there again.

The day we arrived, it was a bit chilly and couldn't get the heater in the hallway to work. This however, was a minor issue which did not affect our overall stay.

Hosts, location, price, cleanliness, welcome pack, room size, facilities, garden, parking - everything (within control of the owners) was perfect!

The cockerel next door (4am to 4pm every 10 minutes) - lack of phone signal on O2 network.
