Location, old charm
Staff friendly and made you feel welcome.
There had been a rat in the room Not very clean Very noise pud that stays open very late so no sleep and the road out side does not stop sll nite ggrrr
Friendly staff and comfy, if snug room. Breakfast was lovely. In a good location within the town.
Unfortunately, the area around the bottom of the shower screen wasn't very clean and neither was the area around the taps in the sink. Also the kettle wasn't that clean either.
Location for pubs and restaurants in the area was excellent.
The first rooms we were given were cold and very dusty, we asked to see any other available rooms, the staff member was obliging and showed us two more rooms, much warmer but still not very clean. We had booked the superior room which stated larger and quieter, neither of which were. Everything else in surrounding area was nice.
Nice room nice staff
We stayed New Years Eve but prices werent inflated because of date . We could have attended what was apparentlya v enjoyable (free entry ) party but we chose to relax in our comfortable and spacious room instead . Staff excellent , breakfast delicious ! Our second stay in one year and we will certainly visit again
Entrance area to Audley House a bit shabby and didnt do the interior the justice it deserves .
Room comfort and well heated. Plenty of space and powerful shower.
11:00 check out time.
Very convenient for visiting family. Big room in building away from the rest of the pub.
Very cold especially in the bath room. Tea/coffee/water supplies not renewed daily and room not cleaned during our stay over Christmas.
A cosy comfy pub with rooms which I have visited before, hence my return. The rooms remain comfortable with nice roomy bathrooms and very good showers.
Drunk man in bar was very intimidating. Swearing loudly from the moment we (2 middle aged women) arrived, then became verbally abusive to us. There was no intervention by the landlady, no apology and no reassurance to make us feel safe and comfortable. Was so looking forward to revisiting the George and Dragon but won't be going back.
As a solo female, it is rare to find a place where you are not only welcomed but included and treated like a friend. I had a great stay and will be back. Wendy and the team were awesome, thank you guys x
shower hanging off plenty of cobwebs hate to think what a standard room was like the superior room was basic
The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was lovely, comfortable and suited a family perfectly. My son said it was the best night sleep he'd ever had! Breakfast was delicious. The pub was homely, we felt welcome and children were delighted to see dogs in the bar. We'd love to go again.
Nothing not to like.
Food in the pub was very good
Room was tired, bed very lumpy, mattress needed changing, bathroom not very well thought out given all the space available, wouldn't stay again
Good food, well cooked and presented
We had a nice quiet room at the back
The TV didn't work
Location, the staff , very helpful
the beer, dirty glasses, the room,
Comfortable furnishings Rear car parking Large bedroom with attractive en-suite facilities Delicious breakfast Staff very friendly, excellent service Clean Great location Able to book in early as we were due to attend a wedding in the village Value for money
Fire alarm in our room set off by steam from shower Curtains let street light in, hence our poor night's sleep Toilet temperamental
The location is great, easy to find right on the main street & the room was in a house next door so a bit more secluded than in the pub itself. Lovely room & good bathroom. The landlady is great, helpful & jolly, lovely big English breakfast and the food at the pub is good with nice options, real chips & huge portions! I would definitely go there again, & my partner was happy too, we both felt very comfortable.
Good WiFi was important to us but we really struggled to get a signal. The windows of the room are onto the main street which was fine at this quiet time of year but could be noisy in high season. Would be glad of more sugar & milk in the room for teaholics like ourselves!
Breakfast was good with friendly service. Evening meal was ok, nothing special. Car parking was provided.
the room - we were given a room in a building outside the main Inn. The door opened straight onto the path and main road which was very noisy. There was very little space and poor lighting. The ensuite facilities were adequate. Shower was functional but had black mould around the tiling base.
Very good ploughmans. Excellent breakfast
Light above toilet too low, brushed my head on the bulb.
Pub atmosphere and pub food good. Staff friendly.
Garden area could be improved. No marmalade for breakfast!
Excellent location, comfortable bed and wifi in the room. Overall a very good stay
Twin room did not have a second chair or adequate hanging space. Bathroom had room for a chair but not provided. Realise room size posed restrictions but could be got round as above.
