More options for breakfast
The room (no 9) is absolutely perfect, the staff are lovely and really friendly and our breakfast was exactly what we needed!
Nothing, apart from the bed is too comfortable so we fell too deeply asleep during what was only meant to be a brief nap and woke up at 12.35pm so were unable to join in with the fun at the bar in the evening :-(
Excellent location friendly staff and very good cooked breakfast
We wondered if the noise from the bar below would be a problem. In the end we were not too disturbed
Room was good size Staff were helpful Good food
Rooms were hot, could have done with another fan.
Family room but only three beds
Gem of a BB in the countryside. Great staff, food. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. Thanks for a memorable few days!
Staff were helpfull
Didn't get to sleep untill 2.30 as noisy people still in pub and arguing!!
The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was first class with a good choice and friendly service. The price was less than a Travelodge or Premier inn and it included a full English breakfast.
evening meal could have been more adventurous. Disabled access poor...especially surprise steps into rooms
Breakfast was good, hot and plentyful.
Room was in Ardley House, the entrance hall of which was in need of some TLC. It looked unwelcoming and tatty. TV table looked as if it was about to fall down.
food was good, bar was good, staff friendly.
shower was a bit dodgy.
Room 9 is a quirky conversion above the kitchen. Very spacious. Weather was very hot. A fridge in the room to keep the water bottles cold would have been a bonus. Food excellent.
The UHT milk. There is an alternative now that tastes much better. Or with a fridge could have a small jug of real milk!
Situation of bed due to slope of ceiling. Low ceiling entrance. Took a big thump on my head despite warning. The beam should be padded.
Staff helpful and friendly
Tired look of accommodation
Location - great village with super shops and pubs. Rooms were big (we were in the superior ones) and had sofas and all amenities. Nice to be in a separate building to the pub. Breakfast/dinning room was lovely. Breakfast good.
Noisy from the road. Broken toilet was not repaired and light bulbs missing. Bar and garden are a bit scruffy, as were the bar toilets. They had made an effort with the garden, but cheap seating and poor layout. Limited parking.
Nice food, friendly staff, room nice, good value.
Some traffic noise (room faced the road).
friendly staff, wonderful location
A good central spot in a beatiful area. We were made very welcome and treated with respect and kindness. First class staff.
The room we stayed in was big and comfortable.
Breakfast could have been better. Dirty table cloth and glasses.
Comfy beds, good breakfast, nice staff.
Good, clean, comfortable accommodation with hearty breakfast at a very fair price.
Our stay was fine, the location was useful and it was somewhere to sleep.
The bathroom had not been cleaned (the toilet was dirty) we were only provided with two hand towels, the TV did not work and the bed was very uncomfortable. I would not have minded so much had I not have paid £100 pounds for one night. It is a lovely hotel in a great area, it could have been perfect had someone made a bit more effort
Location was good and accessible.
Seemed short staffed as our room wasn't cleaned when we checked in and one other day during the week the room wasn't cleaned. Dining area in the back was not clean 1/2 the time
very good breakfast and shower
The room needed a good clean and a lick of paint
