Scrambled eggs not fluffy enough!
The hotel is full of character. The staff were perfect, and the food was wonderful. Champagne and roses were arranged for us on our arrival. A brilliant stay.
Lively in the middle of the little market town Restaurant and pub on site Helpful staff from front desk to waiting staff
All rooms have a bath/shower, would be nice for some guests to have a walk in shower Rooms were warm and opening the windows for cool air was not in all rooms a good option
Period features. Comfortable bed. Touches of luxury in bedroom and bathroom. Excellent restaurant.
Our room had a noisy air extractor (from kitchens?) just outside the window.
Wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was superb
Food very good
Decor a little bit tired.
Friendly welcoming staff. Good food and ambience.
Breakfast . History.
Shower in bath was rickety
The staff were so friendly could not do enough to help you if you wanted anything. The room was lovely and would recommend to friends.
Toilet in main area bit grubby
Lots of places to near by.
Access was difficult due to Stone Street being closed. So had to come via South of village. When we could not find hotel , staff unable to direct us properly when we were within a few hundred yards
The history....we were in the room that Queen Elizabeth I used in the 16th century! A four poster bed and lots of atmosphere!
Very hard to get WiFi.....our smart phones were struggling although the Manager said there was WiFi in every room. Also, the lighting in our room was so dim we couldn't read!!
Great room and bathroom
Room noisy until after 11pm. Food ok but massive portions and overpriced for the quality. Mistake with the bill. They brought the wrong wine (but replaced it with good grace!)
spacious room, helpful friendly staff, food excellent and a period building with lots of character
noise from other room above
Asked for quiet room but was above noisy kitchen extractor fan
Very clean and comfortable bed, good hanging space and nice sunny position of the room,
Lack of a table and comfy chair.Lights out at bedroom entrance and above basin in bathroom.
Excellent food, lovely spacious room, great atmosphere.
Shower always cold.
Overall excellent value for money. Very convenient location in the heart of Cranbrook. Professional and friendly service
Very noisy floorboards and toilet door needed oiling. Could benefit from double-glazing and airconditioning but at 3 star one shouldn't complain too much.
Nice hotel with lots of old, traditional features combined with modern facilities .Stayed 3 nights and it felt like staying in a big family home with lovely bars, dining room, snug and out door area .Rooms were comfortable and well equipped .Staff were great , very helpful and friendly .
WiFi using Cloud system is a bit cumbersome .
The atmosphere was really good. Staff friendly and helpful
That we had a superior room that cost £150 and we didn't have a view what we had was a noisy fan outside the window.
We enjoyed our stay at The George. The staff were friendly and helpful. The meals were great. Our room was comfortable and attended to while we were out. Have already recommended The George to our friends who want to go to Sissinghurst and Great Dixter Gardens. We will certainly stay again.
Don't like spelling mistakes on Question 3. Travellers have 2 Ls. We are not American!!
Undisiplined staff, excessive noise after midnight in the area outside the main bar, appeared to be no management.
Excellent food / staff very helpfull and friendly
Staff were very helpful and accommodating
Had the Sunday roast in the evening and meat/potatoes were very dry and had to send meal back.
