Score from 1717 reviews Very good
First of all, our room was clean and neat with all the necessary equipment one expects from a three-star-hotel. The location is also very good - within a five minute walk you are at King's Cross Station and you can walk to Camden town market or the lively quarter Soho.in only twenty minutes. Also the staff was really helpful when asked.
As the description says, there is indeed no elevator which only bothered us once while we were carrying our large suitcase up the narrow staircase. The room doesn't offer much space either. You hardly have enough room to walk around the beds and there are just some drawers in the desk and bedside table but no closet. Unfortunately, after showering the bathroom was all wet because the shower curtain was way too short.
Perfect location and really nice staff.
Very good, for the price and location. I'll probably try and stay here again.
Bed was too soft. Window catch was broken.
Well priced. A very clean and comfortable room in a great location. I always try and stay here when i come to London
Good location and good value for money. Staff helpful and lots of info
Bathroom smelt, decor a bit tired
shower and bed !
None on room
It's places in a quite private street in a strategic position, so close to Euston Statio, Russel Square and King's Cross St Pancreas (Max 6min walking). The hotel is quite and the room clean (I got the n.23, 3rd floor).
The doors and some walls were freshly painted so I took double attention when climbing up and down the stairs. A lift would be much appreciated, but I know it's difficult to find it in Victorian Houses.
Hotel only mins away from tube station Hotel is basic but clean and all staff spoken were friendly and helpful. Looks like the hotel is being refurbished our room wasn't one of them but It didn't matter as it was just for sleeping
Newly refurbished room
no wifi functioning
Great location, helpful staff, charming atmosphere. Narrow corridors and staircases create a really nice atmosphere. Our room was on the third floor without an elevator, but we did not mind walking the stairs at all. The room turned out to be bigger than it looks on the photos and in overall it exceeded our expectations. The WiFi worked only on the ground floor, which turned out to be positive - we did enjoy our offline time more.
Clean, freshly rennovated room; friendly staff; comfortable bed, all new bathroom, all new carpets in halls. Location.
The password for the wifi simply did not work on the options available from my room, for most of my stay. No lift.
comfy bed great location value for money
wifi is worse than useless
Friendly staff . Full breakfast at VERY good price. Room price very good for London ss we had a shared shower room-but nevrr saw anyone else use it.
At this price, nothing.
Location (half way between Russell Sq. & Euston/King's Cross tube stations; area with plenty of restaurants and shops). Cleanliness. Room well kept (I got a recently renovated ensuite one) and decent size. Staff friendly. Breakfast good value (GBP 5 full English). Alternative entrance to building when reception closed.
Wifi with very poor reception on my floor (3rd), and slow and not reliable elsewhere. No wardrobe in room (only a rack with hangers). Communal area very small. No elevator.
I liked the newly refurbished room and the close proximity to both Kings Cross and Bloomsbury.
I didn't like the stained bed sheets, the windows that would not close (room 21), the sloping bed (or floor?) and the + £5 extra for brekkie.
Really close to the King's Cross and St. Pancras.
Rooms small but adequate
Very near Russel Square underground station
Russel Square station is not the best to arrive with luggage Wifi was very poor
Facilities, Toilet, Shower
Wifi was bad because the traffic in the hotel
Excellent location, minutes from Euston and King's Cross Clean new bathroom
Free wifi didn't work all week
Location - close to Euston but in a quiet gardens setting, just round the corner from great "village" feel of Bloomsbury - unique shops, pubs and restaurants. Friendly staff too.
Clean, nicely redecorated, well-located
While I appreciate that space is at a premium in London, the room was somewhat cramped: couldn't pass by the bed with the armoire open and no room for a night stand, so alarm clock etc had to sit on the floor. The bathroom could use a few more hooks or at least a shelf to put one's toiletries or toiletry bag on rather than have to perch them on the back of the toilet or on the floor. For an extended stay, the breakfast can get a bit repetitive, but would be okay for a few nights.
The breakfast was good.
The room smelled due to some kind of sewer leakage. The shower was clogged. The taxi transfer they arranged with was some kind of fraud. No taxi-registration plates and no meter. There are many better kept hotels than this in London. Avoid.
