Easy distance form falls and great walking around the falls and Castle Bolton
Beautiful view of Dales
Need to get rid of the confusing St George Inn sign (Thorely)- closed for past 4 years and wewnt there by mistake instead of St George and the Dragon ( nice and helpful Pub for eating ).

Great location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, but noise issues at night from main road for bedrooms at the front of the building.
Hotel otherwise comfortable and attractive. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is good. Definitely worth a visit.

Our visit was really spoilt by the weather.
Our visit was really spoilt by the weather. Howling gales and driving rain. This was at the beginning of October. In better weather this would be a great place to stay. Very close to the falls and a short drive to Bolton Castle, which is certainly worth a visit. They have wild boar there as well.

Aysgarth Falls hotel was a good choice for our northern dales trip. Be warned that if you want to see the famous Aysgarth Falls then it is a steep walk down the road from the hotel. Might be better for the less mobile to drive to the Dales National Park centre and walk from there.

Favourite spots were Hawes, great place with unusual shops and a really good fish and chip shop; Skipton, lovely town and canal boat trips. Aysgarth Falls, very popular, good car park, shop and toilets and lovely scenery.
The George and Dragon, 10 minute drive from Thornton Lodge, do lovely home cooked meals. The Aysgarth Falls Hotel and Restaurant do more exotic meals, but very nice.
Breakfast good. Location good. Ate dinner there - fine. Comfortable.
Difficulty booking it with the App. This was Booking.com's fault, it was much more difficult to use than a computer. Booking have difficulty (App and online) distinguishing between room capacity and number of guests. We wanted 2 rooms, 1 each for only 2 adults. It said we wanted 2 rooms with 2 people total 4 guests. We rang hotel to confirm our requirements - hotel staff dealt well with this.
A beautiful stay from start to finish. Our host Claire was extremely welcoming, friendly and could not have been any more helpful. The property was immaculately presented, stylish and modern. The breakfast was delicious and Claire’s recommendation for evening meal food was excellent. Location was excellent beautiful walks in every direction and 10 mins walk to Aysgarth Falls. 😊
Amazing location, wonderful hosts and exceptional cottage. What more do you need! The cottage has everything you want and more with beautiful views from every room!! The local shop has all the essentials too. Spoilt for choice with walks, then to top it off the outstanding mill race tea shop is just down the road. Aysgarth is one of our favourite places to visit.
Friendly and exceptional service from the staff,
comfortable bedroom, food was excellent, probably the best breakfast i have ever had,
Dinner was great also, i had Liver which was tasty, a dish that can so easily be 'got wrong'
My wife had Sea bass , which again was so tasty, I'll be back to the area soon, The George and Dragon being the main draw
Exceptional accommodation and personal touch from owners( personally welcomed with homemade brownie). Like stepping into a show home. The room was great, spotless and with a great view. Would highly recommend for a visit to this area. Plenty of walks to be had around Aysgarth Falls which is an easy walk accessed from the bottom of the garden.Thank you
Everything about this hotel is exceptional from the views out of the windows the faultless rooms breakfast and bar area are fantastic.
The decor and style of both the hostess and how they style the hotel and rooms are superb and different compared to the plain boxes of chain hotels.
The views. The location is great for walkers - you have a 360-degree choice of walks. Obviously very close to the famous falls but lots of other attractions nearby such as Bolton Castle. The Aysgarth Fall Inn is your neighbour but is not noisy at all. Very comfortable.
The breakfast was great, freshly made to order and plenty to eat.
The location for walks and the Aysgarth falls was excellent.
There was a nice pub across the road with very nice evening meals.
The host (Jason) was very friendly and informative of the local area.
Beautiful views,
restaurant next door aysgarth falls hotel advisble to ring and book
5 minutes walk down hill to the top falls
About 2miles to cauldron falls in west Burton
Pleanty of tea and coffee in room
Towels, shampoo shower gel fridge in entrance way
from the lovely warm welcome from Sarah - i couldnt have wished for a more perfect stay. Location is just idyllic, a short walk to Aysgarth Falls and what a breakfast, it makes my mouth water even now ! A Perfect place, quiet and sooo picturesque !
A really warm welcome from all the staff especially Beth who explained everything meticulously and extremely proffesionally.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I would certainly recommend this hotel.
Fantastic evening meal and a superb breakfast.
Location was excellent, we were in centre of aysgarth village which is where we wanted to be. Breakfast was amazing for choice and presentation. Our breakfast table overlooked the dale. We couldn't fault it an will be returning
Great one night stopover in Aysgarth. About 1/2 a mile from the river/falls. A brisk 3 mile stroll over to the castle and some good scenery. Bit damp (early Septemeber) but great views from the hillside.
A brand new, beautiful little cabin with a hillside view. A great place to stay if you want to visit Yorkshire Dales National park.
I really enjoyed it here!
