The Hotel was wonderful and so were the Staff. The room was neat and tidy.We took advantage of having the 3 Course evening meal for a pound each because we stayed more tha 2 nights. The food was great and there was plenty of it. |

The food - both dinner and breakfast were excellent. The bed was very comfortable. Despite the refurbishment, there was some evidence of deterioration of decoration on the ceiling of bedroom 5. |

The decor needs upgrading as does the sanitaryware however it is an old hotel and as such a certain amount of old world charm must prevail |

Food was very good and very hot which makes a change from some places. Informal atmosphere in bar area which made for a relaxing time. Bedrooms at the front were noisy on Saturday night but we were expecting some disturbance as the hotel is very central. |

The George is an excellent pub/hotel. It is centrally situated but away from too much bustle. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food was first class. For a base in central Keswick you would be find it hard to do better. The overall value was excellent. A very enjoyable stay. |

The location was very good, the food was good and it was clean and tidy. we found the room a bit cold the heating was'nt on. it did come on sometime early morning around 5am maybe? it was too hot at that time, i got up and turned it down. Would have prefered it to come on early evening because of all the rain we were soaked and could'nt dry off. i actually used the hair dryer to get warm. |

The location was perfect for walking in and around Derwent Water. The room was surprisingly large with a good ensuite. The best part were the staff who were very accomodating and the food served is exceptional. |

Very good central location in Keswick that allows easy access to the shops, pubs and mountains. The breakfast is plentiful and sets you up for the day. The headboard of the bed was nearly falling off and obviously has seen a lot of 'activity' over the years :) |

Lovely olde world coaching inn without pretension. Same relaxed atmosphere as always. Friendly staff. Very central location - good for just mooching around Keswick. Personal touch -Met my request for a certain room which we have always stayed in at this hotel. New management does not provide morning papers with breakfast which was a bit of a tradition when staying at this hotel. Please revert to this practice, it is only a small amount each morning and makes such a difference.Noisy families with young children who feel it is their right to wake every other guest in the place at 8.0 every morning. |

Amid lawns and flower gardens, this country house hotel has free parking and is a short walk from the centre of Keswick. The restaurant has excellent garden views and traditional food. |
Set beneath some of England’s highest fells and overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake, the Castle Inn is the ideal location to explore the northern region of the Lake District. |
The Red Lion Hotel in Grasmere is the perfect base for a holiday in the Lake District. Artists and poets have been drawn to this area of the Lake District since Wordsworth's time. |
In the Lake District town of Keswick, this former coaching inn provides a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and modern-day comforts in a historic setting in the town centre. |
