The room was perfect and had everything we wanted, surprisingly quiet even tho it was above a lively bar, cooked breakfast was superb. We will be going back there!
Not a thing!!
Great location Ability to only stay one night at a weekend Very Professional and friendly staff Good value for the area at about £35 a person a night for an en suite room
Some rooms bigger than others Bathrooms small and easy to slip on the wet floor
Staff very helpful and polite. Value for money.
Facilities were in some respects only fair. Room 12 1 Both bedside lights weren't functional. 2 Room ran out of soap and wasn't replaced during mid day cleaning process. Was replaced when requested to do so. 3 Similar thing happened with room coffee facilites.
Not a lot other than decent location.
Small bed, staff to busy behind bar to deal with us at check-in. Rooms above a pub. Not that clean
Centrally located good amenities close too eveything you need.
Being central bit of a hike too car park with luggage.
i loved the location great value for money and cheap bar prices room was adequate for our needs next time going en-suite, full English breakfast was lovely worth the upgrade price
staff customer service skills where lacking not very welcoming or courteous when leaving complementary breakfast was lacking in choice could do with a sink or some sort of water in the budget twin rooms for making tea and coffee instead of having to go out to the bathroom to fill the kettle
can not fayult the place
no lift and got put on top floor
Relaxed atmosphere Clean Location close to all Whitby attractions
Bedroom carpet badly stained
the room was very good
No hassle, very clean and comfortable. Will return.
The location was walking distance from everything
No parking Uncomfortable beds Tatty fixtures in room esp bathroom Music playing loud and late on a weeknight Didn't ask how our stay was when we checked out We feel like if it was £50pn then it would have been a lot better
Really quiet couldn't hear anything from outside. Nice room and lovely friendly staff
Room was really warm
The location was good, rooms clean and staff friendly.
The stairs and paying for a cooked breakfast that wasnt that good!
the shower was amazing, the beds were quite comfy despite we had to sleep in two. The coffee and tea were very nice in the morning. The nighttime events are okay, not really our scene, more directed towards mature audiences.
We weren't overly happy that we had to use a twin bedroom, and that bed and breakfast meant completely cereal... The check in staff seemed a little drunk, which appeared a little unprofessional. The drinks menus were outdated in the rooms aswell and so the drinks cost a lot more than we were told. If you plan to sleep before 2am that's not gonna happen because the noise is quite prominent.
Very convenient for rail & bus travel and in centre of town. Good value. You could avoid the noise of the busy night time activities on the ground floor by having accommodation right at the top floor - a good way to get aerobic exercise!!
Twisty route to bedrooms - very small room , but you get what you pay for!
staff, lovely bar and great n location
not much choice at breakfast only choice of 3 cereal or toast. no lift
Location, central to Whitby Harbour, Rail Station, Bus Station and Car Parking.
Compressor (possibly part of kitchen!)outside Hotel bedroom window (room 10) came on at 07.20am and never stopped, checked out at 10.15am (didn't have to till 11am), but no point staying any longer with that noise going on.
Staff were very friendly. Good entertainment if you didn't want to go out in the evening. Breakfast was adequate. Plenty of choice for all. Very handy for all sites without the need to drive.
Long climb upstairs to the top floor, made difficult if carrying luggage or very young children. Those on the lower floors could hear the entertainment in the bar.
Convenient for visiting Whitby.
Stained carpet in twin bedroom.
I can not understand what people expect we thought the hotel was nice the room was plenty big enough and very clean tea n coffee as stated the pub its self was a bit spit n sawdust but not bad at all there was only one catch on the window and a hairline crack in the hand basin but i reported these to a member of staff just to cover our backs slept like a log on the friday night but was woken twice on the saturday night but hey i was young once would stay there again no problem
The only thing is that you have to go through the pub on arrival with your bags and fight through the crowd
Great stay would stay again very friendly
not been told a check in a you had to order a cooked breakfast.
Whitby is a cute little fishing town. We went to see Capt Cook. Boat trip on harbour cheap as chips and very good
Really nice place to stay in the heart of Whitby, clean and lively with the added bonus that they do bar snacks etc. Staff were friendly and helpful and would definately stay here again.
No complaints really accept bed was slightly hard but everyone is different, other than that would have liked to stay longer :)
